Worried that's today's end of term celebrations will upset my weight loss as having a BBQ. I was going to have a steak burger as Its end of term at school. Every time I have bread though regardless of how low my calories are, my weight increases. Every time. I put it down to the carbs in bread. Obviously my body doesn't process carbs efficiently. Still deciding. I've been plateauing the last few weeks so to have my weight go up now would be devastating to me.

I had the steak but not the bread roll. But after school I then had a half glass of wine. I feel good about that. 😊

Carbs are fine. Just each gram of it attracts 3-4 grams of water to process. So, if you just increased carbs in your diet you weight will jump for the next day or so, additional water will go away when you are back to your normal diet carbs level.

Serenitydee, I am exactly the same. I couldn't lose weight no matter how low I seemed to go calorie wise but after reading Michael Mosley's Blood Sugar Diet, I started losing and as soon as I eat any sort of carb, my weight goes up and I feel vile. Have a great summer break, mid winter here so another six months to go until we knock off for the summer!

Thanks Leayas. It has been so important for my morale and motivation to know I'm not alone.
