Day 5 of a planned 5 days of mostly ‘no solid food’ fasting
Finally made it to the gym 👍🏾.
Something people don’t know about fasting is that 3+ days in your energy is off-the-map.
However, when I try to 🏋🏾♂️ ‘lift heavy’ at the gym, I need sufficient glycogen in my muscles. After 4 days of ‘low carbs’ I struggled to get through my sets.
I could 'carb up' more, but, I have made the decision that it is more important for me to 'not get fat again', than it is for me to ‘bulk up’.
Still, I plan to get back to going to the gym twice a week…
😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

"3+ days in your energy is off-the-map" - I can attest as I experienced this surge of energy last week during my 6 day fast. I didn't expend this energy in the gym however because I was try to conserve it as I was aiming for a 10 day which I broke it after staring at the wife eating pasta on day 6, LOL.

Yep, the carb (gycogen) - exercise fueling is a carefully balanced situation. If you ain't gonna burn it, best to not eat it, as you say - more important for me to 'not get fat again', than it is for me to ‘bulk up’.

I've been thinking more about fasting and doing a three day fast soon --- I can go 24 hours without batting an eye --- but I've never gone longer than that.

@HardDaysKnight - When I fast my health goes 'up'. I know that seems counterintuitive, but, my body wants to burn fat. 'Continuously eating' is actually not what my body wants. But, that's just me 🌞
