I am a sixty year old indigenous female. I have one son who also is currently have weight issues due to bad eating habits. I am pre-diabetic and have other health issues and my health professionals strongly recommend that I shed 30 kilograms and exercise more in order to become heart smart, get trimmer and improve my self-image and self-esteem. I get a bit overwhelmed by the whole yoyo dieting regime. I go really well for about a week and then sugar cravings kick in and I bust big time. I also have a habit of busting occasionally on Hungry Jacks or Maccas or Red Rooster (RR not as bad calorie speaking). I try to walk my dogs 2-3 times a day - they love helping me exercise. So generally speaking I get up at 5.30-6am if I have had a good night sleep. To do this I need to be tucked in by 12 and on my CPAC machine. That too will get better I am told if I lose 30 kilos. 95kg is a good weight for me. I don't need to be boney like when I was 20. I get dietary supplements from my local pharmacy (Isowhey Banana (or Strawberry) Smoothies (powder) which I have every morning with unsweetened almond milk. I use vitamins, i.e. Chromium, Garcinia Cambogia, (I take 2000mg of Diaformin daily) and I get supplements from Elite Supplements,i.e minty oily drops to reduce my sugar cravings and a sweet drink to keep hydrated and boost my metabolism. When I do all of the above and stay away from the chocolate and lolly aisle and away from the driveway at Maccas I do really well. I am on psych drugs which slow my metabolism - a nasty side effect in keeping me on an even keel. I am doing the Noom Diet and I get daily coaching and its a great app. They say I should reach my goal by late September this year.
