I’ve been away from calorie counting for a while and gained 2kgs. After trying and failing to lose weight last time, I really want to try again. My goal is to see only TWO digits in my weight, not three (under 100kgs). Here goes …

Gaining 0.2 kg a Week
23 May 2022
No weight loss. No weight gain either I suppose. I mostly stuck to the plan. Especially cut out all snacking! Weighed myself on Saturday, like I promised and still no weight loss. So on the weekend I ate what I wanted. No weight gain at all! I’m hormonal - I know it. Going to try again this week! Wish me luck.

So my goal by this Saturday coming, was to lose 1.5kg this week.
I weighed myself this morning. I’ve lost 100g. ☹️Despite not snacking, doing my half hour exercise and cutting out carbs as much as possible.
I don’t think I’m going to hit my goal on Saturday. But I’m going to keep trying.
I wonder if it’s what some of you have said … head not in the right space. Or hormones. I’m feeling a little low emotionally this week. It’s incredible. Other times I’ve made less effort and lost 3kg in a week!
I’ll report again on Saturday.

Stagnation. Losing sight of the goal. This is my issue. I’ve been telling myself for the passed few weeks “I’ve slipped up today, I’ll start my diet tomorrow”. And I start each day with a goal in sight and by afternoon just magically “forget”. Become mindless.
So I’ve identified what I need to do. Stop thinking of the 35kg I want to lose as “I’ll get there one day”. Start attacking it in smaller goals. Measurable goals on a timeline, because that’s how I tick!
So today, Saturday I’m 125kg and by next Saturday here’s what I want to have achieved:
- 1.5kg weight loss
- 30 mins a day of exercise
- Eat more protein, less carb at each meal but think of each meal separately, not “oh well I ate pizza for lunch, may as well have pasta for dinner”
Going to try and log each meal too.
Ok guys! I’ll report back next Saturday, hopefully with those three things done and dusted! Wish me luck!

I weighed in at 125kg, so no loss but no gain at least either because I have been sensible. I haven’t really committed to a diet since I started this. I start most mornings with good intentions but then get busy, hungry and forget my goal. I feel like commitment is coming though … for some reason I keep remembering a saying “nothing tastes as good as slim”. How true. But not in a toxic way. I have been feeling very low confidence about my weight lately and I just really want to feel better about myself. Nothing is going to taste better right now than that. I just need to remember that mid afternoon at snack time lol!
