It’s gonna be a high calorie day. I started yesterday telling myself it was okay and I believe it now 👌. It’s the celebration of the founding of our town complete with parade and food trucks. Today was a dr appt 2.5 hrs each way from home so... not the healthiest food. Arby’s for lunch. Pulled over to google and found Arby’s had the most protein for the calories. Decided to splurge and ordered the meal and cheese sticks. To my surprise I had 3-4 bites of the double roast beef left, 3 of the 4 cheese sticks and 3/4 of the fries! My kids loved me when I got home ;). Also splurged on a protein smoothie for breakfast. I’m a snacker when driving alone so 250 cal for that was better than a 200 calorie soda, 250 candy bar and bag of chips/crackers. Overall I saved some calories which makes me feel better about dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow.

Maybe I can do maintenance better than I think 🤔. Weekends like this would’ve easily been 5000-6000 a year ago. I don’t even care if I gain a bit.

My surgeon told me I look great and that she would like to see me take it slow. If I want to lose another 10# then do it over the next 6-18 months and be sure to keep adding muscle before I worry about losing more fat. She examined me so she saw all the excess and didn’t seem to think it was excess. ‘You have 3 kids, had cancer, surgical menopause, depression and are always busy. Perhaps 120 is too low for you. It may have been great 10 years ago but your body isn’t the same. Really think about how much you ‘need’ to lose because you look good to me. In your case it may be healthier to stay a few pounds over the ideal rather than below it.’ So I’ll consider her advice. Family dr said something similar. Plastic surgeon too. Oncology is all I have left to ask. She’s the one that will know the best based on other survivors and my osteopenia. No direction as to macros or lifting other than do what seems to work for me lol. Love my surgeon!
