My labs. Seems high sugar or low sugar diet doesn’t matter for me. At my highest it was 104 not fasting at the end of chemo and I was eating 80% junk. I’m talking candy bars for breakfast, cookies for snack 1-2 times a day, 4-6 sodas and a handful of candy before bed. Tons of pasta and potatoes at meals. I cut back on some of the candy bars and it stayed 93-99. Now with cutting out cookies and candy and substituting smoothies, protein shakes etc for the most part I’m still 93. Kinda want to try a more meat diet but the drs today would rather I try to stay balanced between c/f/p. Also must go up to at least 1500 per day on low days for the next 2-3 weeks. Preferably more and above maintenance. Fat gain here I come lol. We will see how I do.

You'll probably do fine on the 1500... I'm still not certain about my 1600 for maintenance... popped on the scale today while getting dressed (not weighing in until tomorrow)... an it was down to 53kg something? :D You did well on chemo - candy, cookies, candy and carbs. Hahahah! There was days I could only eat mash potatoes and Doritoes, for days at end. Everything else made me sick just thinking of it.

Oh same here! I ate a ton of wavy lays chips and cheddar cheese. Some meals it was home made Mac and cheese or just potatoes and gravy. I could eat what I wanted but the smells got to me and with Taxol everything tasted funny. Harder to eat if it smells and tastes bad. My first chemo was like red Gatorade. I took Gatorade a few times and by the end just seeing it in a store and I’d have to do my breathing exercises so I would’ve be ill. Don’t think I ever actually got sick but it was close many times!

I think I’ll do ok on 1500. Honestly I’ll probbaly eat when my body tells me to. So it may be 900 one day and 3000 the next lol. As hubby said, I’ve stayed low several days this month, I’ve lost 1-2# more than I expected already and I probably won’t eat a thing tomorrow and very little Thursday so I can eat whatever today and starting next weekend. I just don’t want to stretch the stomach back out. It’s moving having many small meals and snacks throughout the day. He actually mentioned staying above maintenance because I’ll need it for healing. Maintenance without the cardio is about 1500. So I could go up to 1800 probably for healing. I lost 4-5# last time. He said he only discarded maybe half a pound, 1# at the most so the loss was from my diet. He also said I could go back to cardio and weights in 7-10 days if I healed quickly but preferably wait 2-3 weeks. Last time it was April 25 until June 29 before he would let me work with 5# and then end of July he let me go to 20#. Shhh 🤫 I started at 15 and was at 30 when I was supposed to start at 20 lol. I’ll listen to my body again this time.
