Oh God! There always has to be one to try to bring folks down for no friggen reason. Her 13 year old is learning that her mom is deserving of respect and that if she really wants something, she'll have to work harder for it. Good grief. Building character is an awesome thing.

Nikita, my daughter is naturally competitive. This gives her something healthy to compete about. So far she has learned that if she puts me down then I’ll rise to the challenge. If she constantly harassed me on a daily basis about something then I’ll do the same to show her that it’s not fun. I’d rather she learned this from me rather than a school bully or lose a friend over something like this. She’s learned that she can’t make herself grow taller and that weight really doesn’t mean much because are body composition is so different. She is learning about calories and healthier foods. She has learned that she wants way too much. She’s cutting back somewhat on the junk food. She has started skipping seconds and never goes back for thirds now. She has gained 5# the last month or so. She is retaining water at the moment though because of her cycle so that is probably 2# as that’s what it was the last two times. I’m sure she’s learning more but I’m tired as it’s 2:50 am and I don’t care to justify myself more 😉. Each to their own 😁.

Diablo... you are also a man who has MANY years experience 😉. I’ve had a hysterectomy therefore my hormones are basically nonexistent. That goes against me. It also makes me want to build muscle just because it’s supposed to support bone health if you have the right amount... not to little and not to much. I think a good foal would just be to get in the shape I was as a teenager. No sports but could carry 50# easily and 100# if someone would put the other 50# bag on my shoulder. At 21 I could pick up my 270# husband over my shoulder and take 3 steps before my legs almost gave out. If I can do that again I’ll be happy I think lol. Right now I can give my 124# kid a piggy back ride. I can jog with my 68# kid on my back and a moderate run with the 40# kid. Last fall I was running carrying the 124# kid lol. Ah I’ve let myself go more than I thought!
