Well, today is over food-wise. I was not good, but I wasn't as bad as I was yesterday. At least I only had ice cream ONCE, instead of three times! I went ahead and planned my whole menu for tomorrow. I know myself well enough to not make any promises that I will stick to it 100%, but at least I have a PLAN! I also PLAN to go to the pool to get in my swimming. It is supposed to be 100 degrees tomorrow, with a "real feel" of 110. Sunday, it is supposed to be 98. Since I've only gone swimming twice so far this week (30 laps, and 16 laps = a little over 1-1/2 miles), I really need to go both days to catch up. SO, what I'm NOT planning to do is give up!!! I will also journal my food tomorrow! Hope you have good plans for tomorrow. Happy weekend, everyone!

Thanks for the wishes Debbie. I have some plans for exercising outside but we are getting rain again.... Ice cream I cannot deal with at all. It is one of those things I have to finish ... 1 liter or 3 liter I eat it. So if I am going to have it... buying a small box of haagen daz or go out and buy single serve are the only available options.

Only way I can be successful is to plan. I plan our meals for the week and keep only those foods in the house. Ice cream is a wonderful weakness. I love it. Howsomever I will eat the whole LARGE carton within 2 days. So I started buying Klondike bars. I was good at first....then bad. Very. This week I had one but got 5 in the freezer. Heath Bar Klondike bars. So far so good. The only other option I can think of is to stop at the convenience store and buy 1 only and put it in the freezer. No temptation no sin!! Lol! 😂😂😂

I can't keep ice cream in the house, even with the best intentions of sticking to one serving per day, so I rarely buy it. I do buy Outshine Fruit Bars, which are only 40 calories per bar. They do contain the natural sugar of fruit, but so little that they don't throw my whole diet off like ice cream would. I do NOT buy the sugar free version, that contains Sorbitol and similar sweeteners that they must consider natural, at 25 calories per pop. Too many of those upset my digestive system.

My full-face diving mask and flippers should be here today, so I’m planning on getting some laps in, too. I’ve just been so hungry lately. I’m being as active as my body will let me—and I’m burning more calories than I’m taking in—but the scale’s not budging. I need to focus on the big picture and have a plan to follow. And thanks, Anna Bear, for the “one day at a time” reminder. 😊🎈

I'm awful with ice cream and if I buy it I east too much. Like having it for meal instead of anything good for me. The heat indexes have been close to 110 all week here, looks like maybe a break tomorrow. Debbie, good for you with a plan. I don't function well without some planning ahead for food..

I have been making my own keto ice cream, and it's so rich that I ~ usually ~ can control how much I eat.

Seeing what I am eating in black and white, written down before I eat it helps me tremendously. I have to break the obsession at least briefly enough to type out and look at what I'm about to do.

Keep your eye on the prize and ice cream ain't it my friend! You're letting short-term fulfillment keep you from your long-term goals. You CAN do this.

Metamora, I love the Outshine bars. I buy the larger ones that vary from 60 to 90 calories each. My favorites are pineapple! They have little chunks of real pineapple and are yummy!

SherryeB, I've been getting the smaller Outshine bars that come in 3 flavors each box, so that if I eat two or even 4 of them, it's not so bad. I've had the pineapple ones, and they are definitely yummy. My favorite is coconut, but I lose all control with that one!
