Don't fall in the trap of comparing your progress with that of anyone else. This isn't a competition, nor a quest to obtain an unrealistic ideal. Everyone is different and unique on their own path; ego, pettiness, and jealousy has no place in your head space, and it's always better to err on the side of kindness. It's equally egregious to judge others, so if you're looking harshly at the progress of others, that's problematic, too, and can easily be remedied with a mirror. So I end with another quote, one probably more apropos to our community- "Take care of yourself, and each other." Have a brilliant day, y'all.

I'm sorry you've been slammed for not doing Keto, Wholefoodnut, dogging anyone for their choices isn't ok. I don't mind discussing the merits of different ways of eating, but to personally attack and slam someone for doing different is out of bounds. I know the popular misconception on Fat Secret is that I'm some sort of Keto Krusader, but that ain't true, I respond when people talk trash, but I don't usually instigate things, and if I have come across as an occasional aggressor on this site, there's a reason for it, past differences, etc., I just want to get along with everyone, but some people won't let you. I'm trying to do better about minding my own posts and not making any sniveling comments on other people's journals, and I think I've done a pretty good job not crossing the line lately. If I've ever directly assaulted you, which I don't think I have, I do apologize.

You’re a good guy Phil. I’ve seen, read and observed what you are saying. The reason I’m private. I hate bullying of all types.

When I joined FS five years ago there was a different atmosphere. There were no pics of foods and no harassing each other. Just ideas and support. I find it disappointing to come back to the attitudes and harassment I've seen. There are so many ways to accomplish the goal of health and weight loss. I'm doing Keto this time and it's working well for me but there are a lot of people who have succeeded not using Keto. Be kind. Be tolerant. Be supportive of each other. It's hard enough when we're doing that.

Phil, AGREED!! Oops, cap lock slip. I'm firmly in the "There are many ways to fry a fish" camp...and for sure what specifically works for me is not going to work for many.

I've come and gone a few times since I first joined in 2015, and yeah, it's funny how people who were fixtures for a while aren't around at all, how people that a new-to-you have become fixtures, and then there are those that never leave. I think a lot of people get burned out on the fighting, I know there are a few that regularly Support my posts that rarely post, but are awesome people, I'm just endeavoring to be more like them.

Phil, I never worried about it much, it still happens. I always reply that I tried Keto (actually several times) and didn't work for me it made me so sick all the time. and if they kept pushing ignored them. I still have my ATkins and South Beach books. The constant food photos annoy me so in most cases I ignore them. I cannot switch to following anymore and have it stay instead of featured--that brings up all food photos. I've been here since 2012. I sincerely believe everyone has to find their own plan that works for them and fits their life. If it does not fit your life and is not sustainable to keep your weight off once you lose it that plan won't work. I try hard to support everyone's WOE unless it is simply dangerous. Phil you do the same.
