Some pics to celebrate making it to 180. My goal since April. Down 18-20 pounds since then I believe. If not I'll edit the post later. Heading to the gym. Hopefully no more than 10 to go before I do a slow bulk.

Thanks, V. That reminds me, I should probably change it again. 170, I guess, I haven't been there since 2003 or so. And never with this much lean mass, so it will be interesting.

Oh lol that’s like forever ago. Gosh I was 105lbs back then. You look good already, why lower your goal? Just your personal target? How tall are you?

Cause I need to see chiseled abs before I am happy. They are there, just not as defined as I'd like. I seem to hold all of my extra fat on lower stomach and lower back, more than most it seems since I am pretty defined in the chest, shoulders, and back.

But, you may be right, maybe I will change it to 175 and see how I look there before going to 170. Plus it won't feel so daunting. I really don't want to lose muscle and if taken slow, 175 may be a good place to maintain/slow bulk.

I'm 175.26 centimeters. 69 inches.

Well from my (limited) experience, defined abs, it’s not really about your weight even if there is a certain correlation. I mean if you are plain fat and don’t work out, well babe, no abs. At your point, it’s different. I think 175 lbs is more realistic to start. For people who don’t lift, I actually have my own calculation system, it’s metric/kg. Height-100 for men and height-115 for women. Lifters have more margin. Now in my case, if I want more definition, I need to cut both carbs and fat.

Or work out more often and longer which I can’t do right now. 45h job plus 15 commute. And I work from home on the top. If working out 1.5h 5xweek, food is less important, if calories are kept in check.

My calories will never have to get low enough to where I have to cut any macros to make sure I get my protein in. Just comes down to a calorie deficit and a good amount of protein to get lean.

And yeah abs are just a matter of how low your body fat percentage gets even people who never train them can have a 6 pack. Of course, the more dense they are the more they show. Compounds lifts work them just fine.

I mean by that more protein, less carbs and fat (within the calorie limit) and more workouts. Based on my experience, i.e. how my body responds to my routine and in correlation with my goals.

Yes, more protein will do the trick.
