Both images are me at 179 pounds. In the left side on the first picture and the right side on the second picture, I was running a lot in preparation for a Tough Mudder, on the right, I am running sparingly. Maybe 1-2 times a week on average and half the distance. Proof to me that a lot of intense cardio and less protein intake causes a lot of muscle tissue loss. My average protein was 135 grams and it is now 180. Same body weight at a higher body fat percentage because I was losing maybe just as much muscle as fat in 2018. I am wearing the exact same shorts and I have them pulled up further in an attempt to hide the muffin top yet it is still there. Protein+carbs+lifting+minimal cardio = optimal body composition.

And the "lovehandles" you loathe are gone now. Very inspirational. Maybe I need more protein. Good job! You work so hard for it!

Thanks, Princess! Yes, it's crazy what I was doing to myself with all the cardio in an attempt to speed up the weight loss. I was getting skinny fat.

amazing. I appreciate the progress photos. you are an inspiration, dude.
I've been totally burning out on cardio lately and this helps me figure out why. before and during my tattoo healing process I just had an intense cardio routine and I'm pretty sure I lost muscle with fat. it's just been ugh. I upped my protein and didn't restrict my carbs while only doing enough cardio for a warm up, I'm feeling so different/better. I'm hoping to see better progress in the long run!

I hope to make these after shots look like the before shots. It will take time, but it's doable. :D

Don't compare yourself to others. Be the best Chris you can be. Or be a mediocre Chris. Whatever you want. I'm not looking for perfection, myself. I wonder if I would if I thought I didn't already ruin my chances of attaining it without surgery or if I would always be satisfied with good enough /better than most / better than where I was....

What DP said. It's good to hear someone thinks I'm massive because I just feel normal. I guess you'll always compare yourself to others. Muscle magazines used to make me feel puny, now it's YouTubers, lol. I'm happy but not satisfied.
