So a Nigerian dish? Did you use a package mix with spices etc or just the noodles? Curious as I love North African seasonings and most of the food that I have tried. A store I frequent is owned by a family who escaped Nigeria as political refugees.

Wholefoodnut, I wouldnt call it a nigerian dish. Though the noodles are only manufactured in indonesia and nigeria. I just use the noodles. I dont like to use the seasonings that come with the package. Also Nigeria is in west africa...and I didnt even know there was a such thing as a political refugee from Nigeria lol. Sounds strange.

Sorry yes west Africa officially but the store owners and their sons consider it Northern Africa so I kinda resort to that--I guess they are dividing the country in half. If they go back they will be executed, anyone in the family if discovered, they have been in the US since the sons were very young when they left and they are in their 30's maybe early 40's (guessing as they have kids in school). They have spoken to me about wanting to visit their home country but are afraid to go. There were a lot of religious and political issue back in the 1980's. Nice and interesting people to talk to. Their spices and seasonings are amazing.

Yes! @eat_little, I got them from a thrift store and thought they were beautiful.
Wholefoodnut, I have a feeling they are Nigerian from Niger and not Nigeria. Niger is in north africa and that would make more sense. As far as I know, the 80s was probably the most peaceful time in Nigeria. Just a thought.
