Thought I would write another journal entry for today. I am home sick from work which is another reason why I have rejoined Fatsecret. I have been sick (or not feeling well) more often then not lately. I know the increased stress I am under lately is contributing to it but being overweight isn't helping either. In the past 6-8 months I am also only able to get about 5-6 hours of sleep at night (I just wake up and cannot get back to sleep) which may be stress related but I am sure my eating habits aren't helping either. On the days that my body does let me get enough sleep (7-8 hours) I don't feel as much stress (or I handle it better as compared to when I don't get enough sleep) and I have more energy. I have also been taking an over the counter sleeping aid and that doesn't even consistently help me to stay asleep. I have seriously been considering going to the MD to get a prescription sleeping pill. I thought I would try this (fatsecret) first and if changing my eating habits for the better doesn't help then I am off to the MD. Can you tell I am at my wits end??? I don't expect an immediate improvement but if in a couple of weeks I don't see even the tiniest bit of change I will call the MD.

The warmer weather is coming soon (I hope) and at this point I don't even have the energy to take my dog for a walk when I get home from work. I feel like such a slug!!!! I am giving myself today (and today only) to have a good old-fashioned pity party and then I am off and running (or walking to start out). Ok enough of the venting, time to lie down and get some rest.

Sleep will mess with you every time! I also resort to tylenol PM! LOL. Can't get my doc to give me anything else YET! I just want something on hand when I NEED it! Hope you feel better and maybe a better diet will help. I finally got all processed (most) foods out of the house, now eating the boring basics, but feeling a lot better!

Hope you're feeling better soon, and continue to feel better. Not enough sleep can really mess with you -- Lizzy's right. I haven't been feeling motivated to exercise either. Good for you for committing to it tomorrow! :-)
