Drop your RDI to 2000 and plan your meals in well advance to make sure you stay under. Any exercise is a bonus.
Have you tried sugarfree drinks? V, Red Bull, Coke No Sugar?

Thanks guys, you're right, it's just the first bit of the journey. I've always been mad at myself for not 'figuring out' how to control my weight like my peers, most of whom were thin and fit. it's hard to let go of that frame of mind.
