Gabbie1018's Journal, 22 Jan 14

Weighed myself this morning and I have lost 3.4lbs since last week. Very pleased. It is great to see a nice drop like that a few weeks into eating healthier. Besides continuing to make better food choices (as I have been doing since January 4th) the only thing I have been doing differently this week is working out. I only worked out twice but it seems to have helped.

I know I sound like a broken record but the work situation is not getting better. I have yet to talk to the manager about what has been going on but we are trying to find a time when we can talk. Although I want to talk in person I think we are going to need to talk by phone which I hate doing. I have started to realize that 90% of the stress I feel in any given day is work related and I can't keep going on like this.

I am very proud of myself for still making health decisions when it comes to my food choices with all the stress I am feeling right now. I actually thought about going to McDonalds at lunch for some quick "comfort" on my way home today and I stopped myself which wouldn't have been the case 3 weeks ago.

One obstacle I can't seem to break is that I am not consistently exercising. I know I said I exercised 2 times last week but I had more opportunities to exercise (either at home or the gym) and I just didn't do it. Like right now I am sitting on the couch and I can't stop thinking about work and when I am stressed I can't even focus enough to even get on the stationary bike in the basement. What is wrong with me???? Any words of wisdom for me to help me break this mental block???

Well I was sitting here surfing the net, when I should have been exercising. I looked at some fitness pictures of people who look amazing and my butt got of the couch to workout. It depends on what motivates you. Seeing pictures of people with amazing bodies can motivate me to move, lol! There are videos on youtube with pictures. You can make your own board with cork board from Walmart (it's called an inspiration board). You can put pics, quotes, etc. You can also go to pinterest.com and make a board there. Lot's of inspiring pictures, healthy foods etc. And some times you just go to do it. Once you do it, you will feel so much better.
