Hi Peepers! I haven't seen any of your posts in my feed for awhile. I'm glad I saw this! Looks good! I hope your pain is going away! Just took a peek and saw you thought you had a pinched nerve.

Bearnoggin- Nor have I! I just went back days to comment and support Peeper's posts because FS is so sucky sometimes.

Aww well thanks! My feed is the same. It’s showing tons of people I don’t know. The nerve pain is gone but the shoulder still hurts really bad on occasion. Mostly during or after bench work at the gym or if I sleep on it. Usually I can just take it easy with the bar only or light weights at the gym and then it doesn’t hurt much.

I'm glad its better. Nerve pain is awful! I've been having shoulder problems myself. I hope I don't lose my gains but now I'm doing rotator cuff exercises to strengthen those inner muscles. Hopefully I can build them up and get back to the main ones. I haven't stopped those completely except for bench and front delts because those muscles tend to become overly strong compared to the others and an imbalance can occur. Which is my issue. I'm doing very light weights for the lateral and rear delts. I hope the rest of your pain goes away soon! My back is killing me today. Sure could go for a massage. But maybe a hot shower will help.

Oh no. Hope you feel better soon! Maybe a hot bath or a heating pad? I would like a massage weekly but at $70 a pop (that’s with a discount) plus tip we can’t really afford it. So I settle for every 4-8 weeks as time allows. The massages sure help my back not cramp up and keeps the headaches away! Anything you lose will come back quickly. I think I was lifting 105 on the smith machine and 75-95 with the regular bench depending on the day. Then covid hit, surgery, shoulder issues etc. We are back to the gym off and on and in 3-4 trips I’ve went from barely being able to lift the bar to lifting 65. Not great and not very fast but it’s coming along. If we could make sure to go 3x a week rather than 1-2 times every week or two it would go faster. Just be sure not to overdo it when you start back to doing everything! The bar was super heavy when I started back. Mainly just on my ‘bad’ shoulder. It would catch, pop and send shooting pains. Now 65 (bar plus 2 10’s) doesn’t make me hurt until the third set rather than the first rep of the first set lol. I could probably do more but I don’t want to risk it.

Wow 95lbs is great. I don't think I ever pressed more than 65lbs back in the day. Now I can only do one rep on the bar with assistance. So I was just doing dumbells. Def must listen to the body. I found you can't rush it but just doing something is all a good investment toward strength and toning! My insurance would pay for massage but im still too scared to venture out with covid going on. It sounds so wonderful though!!! Hope your pain resolves completely. It really sucks to have pain!!!

Thanks. Wish we could use insurance. Oklahoma doesn’t slow insurance to cover massages. It’ll cover PT where they ‘manipulate the muscles’ but I’m not sure if that would be a massage or not. The lady I go to works out of a house she bought for that purpose. She allows 30 minutes between clients so she can clean up and remake the table with clean sheets. It’s nice because I rarely see the previous client or the one after me. She wears a mask but I always tell her she can take it off if she wants. She usually puts it back on for the massage but puts it back on afterward when we are standing closer together facing each other to pay her and set up the next appointment. You could look for someone who works out of a home or alone. That would mean no waiting around others and less chance of catching anything.
