I'm normally not one for nudity on a weightloss app, but in this case it would be appropriate so as to showcase Harriet in all her glory. The sepia-style photo is very beautiful and artsy.

Awww-Thank you Just Bananas. She's even more amazing to watch on the Eagle cam. The sepia was chosen to try and highlight some of the definition I've been working on. Contrast with defined shadows can be difficult to capture when it comes to muscles. It's in part why folks on the Pro body building circuit get those horrendous fake tans before taking the stage! LOL - it's the only way they can highlight their work or it gets washed out under the stage lights.

Eww -- fake tans! Am curious as to how tall you are, since you're only 113 lbs. and rocking such amazing muscles at the same time. I'm 5'5" and aiming for 115-118, though this will largely depend on whether or not I will be able to realistically maintain. Your height is....?

@Just Bananas - No mysteries here -LOL I'm 5'2 and a quarter inch. 113 lbs. is the lower end of the "average" BMI for my height and age. I'm what they call a "lean gainer" or a "main gainer". It's a bit of slower process than a bulk and a cut. I will say this, it's a tricky place to be in that ya kinda have to have idea of how lean you can be without losing muscle mass. For me, I could tell when I hit the 110 mark, it was likely this body would start to devour some muscle regardless 18-19% bf. I wasn't willing to risk it. That's why I pay close attention to the scale and increase cals by 2% if I see 110-111 lbs. pop up. It's also why I couch in those "once a month" surplus days. Even as a lean gainer, one needs a small surplus to feed that muscle or to increase it. And, thank you for the input Hebrews! I genuinely appreciate it! I just couldn't get the flex, angle, and lighting right to capture the definition - but the bulk is there. I figured at least that might be captured :-) I think next time I'm not going to use the remote and just go with the timer on the cam so I can focus on the flex. It's actually not easy to flex for because of those rotator cuffs, LOL - it gets a little painful after a while.

Both the eagle and your muscles/definition are awesome! Maybe a halter top would show the eagle more? IDK... this is great!!

Wow, the eagle is great. You are even better. But best of all for me is your words of encouragement: there is one thing paramount to survival in this world... pure. simple. grit. You have it, I want it! Maybe I have a little too, even though not as much as you, and my body is the opposite of yours. I admire you so!

I agree with Kat -- lose the sports bra, gain the eagle. Maybe try again (with the sepia, of course)? As far as the muscle plan goes, I'm going to get down to my goal weight first before pumping the iron so that I don't have to worry about fat loss anymore. Just focus on the definition creation and see where it goes. Trial & error. You're definitely an inspiration.

Thank you, everyone! Your encouragement is a genuine confidence booster and DP - I will put the link in my next post for the handheld remote for taking pics. It comes with a little handy tripod that holds your iphone. It's around $24 on amazon. And, thank you shrewdness - I am proud and simply happy to enjoy all the capabilities this body continues to reveal :-) @Kat & JB - I don't own a halter top, but I do have an open back sweatshirt. I'll see what I can do. It won't be a "flex pic", but I may be able to arrange something tasteful to showcase Miss Harriet.

just wanted to thank you. I had no idea what I was doing had a name now I have something to research. I just kinda jumped into playing with my macros to see if I could put on muscle without all the fat like the traditional bulk and lean I was introduced to in my 20s (muscle mags). it never worked right back then. I could bulk and get strong but the leaning was a pain and I love to eat. lol. I like this way much better. once I slowed my brain down and quit wanting everything right now. your a blessing. thanks again.

You're very welcome Hebrews. It's a new term I've seen pop up in the past 2-3 years among the body building community and this approach provides a nice alternative for folks that just don't want to increase the BF% while increasing muscle mass. One Celebrity strength trainer actually referred to it as a "Master's Level" approach, because it requires a lot of patience, about a 2-3 year investment, and of course one isn't going to see their gains as a readily as a bulk/cut approach. I don't know that I see it as "master's level" approach. It's really preference for me. I spent most of my life carrying excess fat on this body. It screwed with this mind too much when I contemplated bulking for muscle. I wasn't worried about how long it might take considering this is the first period of time in my life I've ever held weights much less lifted them. It gave me some time to grapple with learning to see this body as being just as feminine with muscles as it had been without. In short, Lean gaining or "Main-gaining" gave me some leeway to wrap this mind around the whole process and adapt to a transformation I never really thought possible :-)
