I was at rock bottom, too. But I forced myself to stand up straight in front of the mirror and told myself, “You can’t keep living like this anymore. You’ll be miserable if you keep hating what’s happening to you. You need to make the change, so you can get the different results”. I then joined FatSecret and started on my journey. I will drop my fat one day, and you too will reach your goal.

Take long walks n listen to podcasts at local parks - it’s been a real mood booster for me, just try n get in at least 10,000 steps a day

What you mean no friends? You can hit us up in here and some would PM with you plenty. What comes to losing weight... What did it for me was strapping on, going out and just walking and asking God what is it that I need to do, what is my purpose... Striving with self and God whilst walking will make you lose fast and clears your mind. Highly recommend.

I know where you are coming from!!! Good and bad days. Don’t feel alone. I’m trying to find the peace Christ offers. Feet swollen sometimes and can’t walk much then ☹️. Listening to Pavel Goia on YouTube is helping me. Glad you’re posting. Makes me feel less unwell 🤒

Aww. Sending virtual hugs. Felt like this back in December. Exercising really does help! It took me a long time to feel motivated to exercise, bit I feel so much better. And if you need to see a doctor about meds, that is totally acceptable too. Take time for your body, mind, and spirit.

One step at a time. You can do this. When you feel yourself starting to have a negative, self-demeaning thought like "I'll never be good enough" just stop. Stop the thought. Imagine a stop sign, or imagine the thought is an ant, and imagine crushing the ant with your foot. It is just your imagination, you are good enough, anything else is just paranoia. You need to stop drinking though. Drinking is for happy times, and maybe not even then, it is absolutely toxic to your self-esteem if you aren't in the right headspace. Exercise, eat right, get plenty of sleep. You'll survive this.

Be careful. Part of losing weight is being healthy. You have to work from the INSIDE out. I sense a little "slur" in your speech so, I gather you didn't just have one?! Place yourself in God's hands everyday. Say a prayer, out loud, God hears all prayers...through Jesus' name, be sure to add, and all will be peaceful within and without your surroundings. Have faith, little one, and all will be well especially when you feel that you're all alone and have nobody....you have us and God has you. Take care, please. Private message us and I am sure we will lend an ear and shoulder so you can lay your weariness on with feedback, of course, and loving care/support. Chin up and smile. :)))

I have discovered that what and how much I put in my mouth is about the only thing I CAN have control over. That and how I react. So much is out of my control and it's hard for a control freak like me to accept. I try to do the best I can in any given situation...sometimes I do great and sometimes I could have done better but I'm just striving for progress, not perfection.

Rockville— you are so right. There are many things we have no control over. Lost jobs, living situations, etc. this gal has sort of been given the gift of time that can be invested in maintaining “self”. Alcohol is totally not the answer under any circumstances.

oh woow I didn't except so many comments lmao... thank u all for ur support!.... makes me feel like I'm not alone hah... that night I was drunk and I started to binge eating.... it was so awful.. then I did some research and found out that binge eating when intoxicated is very common among drinkers... I'm not an alcoholic but have been relying on alcohol every night when I feel too sad.... for the sake of losing weight I definitely need to drop alcohol :/

Let me just give you another thing to think about.. You are living with your parents right now, do you consider their stresses and now watching their daughter wander down a dead end path.? We are all dealing with the stresses put upon us by this pandemic. We can help each other by not adding to someone else’s stress.

This is the best advice I ever got with regards to Job Loss is. Now your job is to find yourself a job. Work at finding yourself a job 5 days a week 40 hours a week. Give yourself the weekends off. You will find a job if you invest time into it. I understand it is a real hard especially during this time, lots of people are off work. Keep in mind the game plan right now is to find gainful employment that will give you your self esteem back and give you purpose and an income. You may have to find something that is a little beneath your income you were making but, you never know where that new job will take you! We all have to do "restarts" the longer we live... you know stuff happens! Be resilient! Good luck and put the word out to all your friends and family contact etc. that you are ready to get back to work.

Life is hard and we all have issues some worse than others. But that is what guides us to try. You can handle yourself just remember. You can do it !
