KayBuckaroo's Journal, 23 Mar 21

Too tired to log, but it’s been a cereal for every meal kind of day. Oh and cheddar popcorn. Really not up to even eating (super weird for me). I’m just trying to listen to my body and my body is saying lay down! 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m asking for help to complete the nesting tasks still left. I’m apologizing to the cashier who witnessed my “pregnancy rage.” 🤣 This baby boy in my belly is burgeoning with energy and strength, leaving me exhausted and depleted. 35 weeks pregnant! Home stretch. Any advice appreciated. It’s my 4th time but it’s my hardest pregnancy. My protein is pretty much from milk and yogurt, cheese.

Nuts, flax seed, Chia seeds, hemp seed, peanut butter powder all have protein in them. Mix with yogurt and blueberries really delicious. Just be sure to drink water with the combo.

You and the baby are hanging in there. You are probably in count down mode. No advice from me but to look forward to that bouncing baby. Hardest can be the waiting being this close to the birth.

I remember those days. Hang in there and it won't be too much longer. Take care.

Hi, Kay! I was excited to see another expectant mom on here, and my age as well :) So sorry about the nausea, that's no fun at all. I'm a couple months behind you but am also finding this pregnancy a good deal harder than the others, even though I am more consciously active this time around. I get a lot of protein from nuts--peanut butter on celery is my go-to snack. I also started freezer prepping these smoothies and have one for 2nd breakfast (hah) to get some extra greens in--the 1st 3 & orangesicle are my favorites. They're the best tasting ones I've found. https://thrivinghomeblog.com/how-to-make-freezer-smoothie-packs-7-printable-recipes-shopping-lists/ Like you said, you're in the home stretch--eyes on the prize and know you're not alone!

Kenna I have a good list going for your seed and nut combo! I love it and it’s happening today

Bear 🐻, I’m 35 weeks so I’m in the homestretch. My daughter came at 36 weeks! But, truthfully it’s better for the baby to stay put for another 30 days 🤨😬

Kattay oh thank you gorgeous. I’m definitely in countdown mode! (“It’s the final countdown!” 🎼🎹) Waiting is so hard. Thank you for your support ❤️

Krumpe hi!! I’m so happy to meet you. Congratulations on your pregnancy! My oldest is 18 years old and my youngest is 1.5, I’ve got a 7 year old son in the middle. I’m a STAHM, DH is a shipbuilder for his civilian career and he is a SSG for the Army Reserves. I just hyperemesis this pregnancy and I’m just trying to make it through the rest of my time safely. The smoothies are sounding good 😋 especially orange 🍊. I’m eating cereal and the occasional sandwich. Yogurt and cheese. Fresh fruit 🍌 🍎 🍉 and fresh veggies 🥦🥒 🌽 🍅 . I’m able to control myself from vomiting most days, the meds are working 🙏🏼 But I’m still void of any energy or will to move most of the time. I’m basically on bed rest for my pelvic pain (symphysis pubic disfunction aka my pelvis is too loose and it causes immense pain with movement and weight bearing.) That’s my pregnancy low down. I’ve been here on FatSecret for several years now, and I’m happy to say this (global) community is a crucial part in my life and wellness! Hyperemesis aside, I’m celebrating this pregnancy because baby is healthy and I am too. I started with my weight being slightly higher than my normal weight, so I’m careful not to gain too much. I’m up 25 pounds total! I’m the last person that I would expect to see in control during pregnancy. My first pregnancy I gained 160+ and my second one was 80+ pounds gained. My 3 rd : 50. So, I’m just trying to make sure my baby is getting enough prime nutrition and I’m still doing Pilates and yoga 5 days a week. Please tell me all about your journey! I’m always happy to hear all about it!!!

Kay Buckeroo— I use 90 grams of plain yogurt, 1/2 tablespoon each of chia seed, flax seed, peanut butter powder, and hulled hemp seed, 40 grams of frozen defrosted blueberries , and top with a homemade granola that I make that has walnuts, pecans, pistachios, pepitas, coconut, in it. It tastes so decadent and each of these ingredients contain protein. I eat it every day for my lunch. And, drink 12-16 oz water with it. Whether you buy your flax seed as seeds or milled it needs to be refrigerated. If you buy the flax seed as seeds you need to grind them first because they cannot be digested in that state so pass right through your digestive system without you getting any benefit. I just buy them milled. A little more expensive but not much.. I m glad you are going to try this.

Kay it could be iron levels down. Chech with your doctor. It might be that simple 🙏🙏🌹🙏🙏

Oh dang! I was hoping you only had a week left. But if another month is better then I hope it goes faster for you! I imagine being on bed rest makes it seem longer. I'm sure your kids love to keep you company though! Hang in there!

Kenna I learned about a similar thing in eating disorder inpatient. It was called “bog” or “bowl of goodness.” I love the twist on the recipe I’ve enjoyed for years. Yours has so many more things I enjoy, and less sugar! I’m used to a 1/4C raisins with 2T peanut butter with 1/2C granola with 1/2C yogurt. I’m still shopping for all ingredients for your recipe but it’s almost done. I didn’t know that about the flax, and I’m slightly sad bc I absolutely LOVE eating whole flaxseed. 🤨

Ocean, I thought that too! Iron was good!

Thank you Bear 🐻. I’m ready so when he’s ready it’s going to be a pretty good day. Until then, could you please open the window and bring me a water? I need the remote, too
