I've created a spreadsheet on which I enter my weight weekly, and a related chart. I print the chart and post it on my refrigerator door. Even when I'm eating beyond my RDI I'm not fooling myself. Like you, I'm only posting losses here for now.

Actually, I log the good, bad and the ugly daily. I think I have become desensitized to daily fluctuations. I check my weight every morning several times, average out the totals and log the result. I don't step on the scales until the next morning. My main objective is to spot trends before they get out out of control...

John I weigh myself everyday also and my scale keeps track of my weight so I can see the trends, I just don't want to post the fluctuations right now. I agree that it is important to look at how we're doing long term, not just day to day.

I like that strategy. It's hard watching the upswing. Noone will ever know my true quarantine high weight. :)

I’ve done the same thing. Especially when I feel like I’m doing the right things and have a gain or not a loss. There’s nothing wrong with you either. We all have our things and challenges and success. I’ve fought my weight my whole life and only lost over the last couple. Hang in there. Either way, we’re with you.

My scale is all over the place! It wobbles like I did when first home from hospital!! I just record the lowest or when I feel safe enough to stand on the thing!!

I used to do that. You can tell when you look at my chart. I was sick of recording all of the 2 ounce gains or 3 pound water gains.

Have you tried the Happy Scale app? You log your weight everyday and it will track your average and use that number to show results toward your goal. Based on that it will predict what your weight will be at certain future dates. It’s much more forgiving and helps you to not get discouraged about those fluctuations.

Hay, someone COPIED your name, but in Spanish!!😠 I almost was talking to the wrong person!☹️ It just killed me and somewhat discouraged me having a gain. It’s hard, but keeps me on my game to have to record it.
