OK...so I went and got a fancy schmancy scale with all kinds of features...but it reads 2 lbs heavier than my older digital scale (tested them side by side, wearin nothin but my FitBit & glasses...). Of course I trust the newer one's accuracy, but as far as recording here on FS, it's gonna make me fall back (like the dang clocks). What would you do?

I got it to keep track of my muscle weight, cuz I suspect I'm losing too much muscle)

Dagnabbit...guess I'll have to bite the bullet, take a deep breath as I weight in tomorrow morning and accept the new scale's reading. Bah...humbug!😂😉

New scale. Ohhhh watch that muscle. We want to Lise fat, not muscle. That’s what I want to gain. 💪🏻💪🏻😂

I agree, go with the new one. And, hey, it's not like you lost any less weight if the scale has been off this whole time. Your progress is all still there, you're just a couple pounds off from the goal. That said I'd be a bit frazzled in this situation too haha. Cheers!

Have you tried putting a dumbells or any type of weight on both so see which one is telling the truth?

I use both hospital and home and hospital is 10ish pounds over, so I report home to chart and hospital in journal 😆

My scale hates me. As a matter of fact I never met one that didn't. I have threaten to feed it dead batteries to no avail. The only pleasure I get is I get to step on it every day as it grunts under my weight. If it wasn't made of Plexiglas I eat a few boxes of jelly donuts and then take a running drop kick and crush it to death.

THANKS you guys!! Your comments & humor made me nearly snort my V8 out my nose!! Yes, I will dutifully post the weight from the new scale tomorrow morning...but I don't like it (stomping my foot & pouting!)

Being mathematically inclined I’d want to go for the median weight. Gaining 2# would just burn me!! But scales are evil anyway. My scale threw me off it onto the bathtub. For weeks folks kept trying to figure out if I had some really cool tattoo sleeve. Nope just different shades of black, and blue!! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😂

go with the new scale. same thing happened to me. I was 3lbs heavier. it's a killer seeing the red arrow but I figure it will go down. it's just another bleep in the road to success.
