I know my weakest moments where chocolate is involved usually happen in response to exhaustion

@writingwyo me too! Exhaustion is a huge binge trigger for me, and my binge of choice always involves chocolate!

Matt walker wrote a book about sleep, called, Why we sleep. It’s a good book and a real eye opener…

I try to get my beauty sleep, unfortunately, dieting itself can give me insomnia.
13 May 22 by member: caribann
I have suffered from insomnia ever since I retired. I think it's because I am not on a schedule any more so can sleep (theoretically) whenever I want. I tend to go to bed early, sleep maybe 2 or 3 hours and then I either am awake for hours or sleep on and off for an hours or so at a time.

Fritzy22, it’s the exact opposite for me. I had enormous responsibilities at my workplace. Since I retired, I sleep far better 💤 🛌

my sleep sucks. It takes me forever to fall asleep and a lot of times if I drink before bed, I'm up peeing all night. I try not to drink before bed, but I don't get to drink much at work

@RN16...sorry to hear sleep is difficult for you. There are many 'sleep tips' also available online...but no worries...sleep is just one aspect of weight loss!

@YetAnotherAccountLOL98...all we can do is try our best to head to bed early and go back to bed after bathroom breaks, right? You've got this!👍

@caribann...that's interesting🤔 I haven't heard of it described that way before. I hope you can find ways to get even a few more minutes👍💙

@Fritzy...in another study I found, it listed the participants as 'in bed' for various #of hours. It didn't say 'asleep'...

@ginome...you're welcome😊
