First journal entry since I restarted fatsecret on 12/27/14. I have been successful thus far. I've lost lost 7.7 lbs. Very happy but I know it is only the beginning. I don't like to dwell on the past but because of the past I know I can be even more successful. I had gotten to 155 lbs a few years ago with hard work and determination so I know I can do it. Taking one day (and lesson) at a time.

This weekends lesson...

I am not on my feet as much on the weekend as I am at work therefore if I do not exercise I need to modify my caloric intake as necessary. I have a very very active on-my-feet all day job (I easily hit at least 11,000 steps each day at work) therefore I burn calories without even trying. On the weekends my activity level is decreased considerably during the winter months when the temperature dips into the teens and below zero as it has been lately. So, no "treats/desserts" if I don't working out that day (even if I have the calories to use). If I have the calories to use I must use them in a healthy way (fruits/veggies).

So, I guess there will be no snacks and treats today as I hurt my foot last night. I lost my footing on the steps and landed on the bottom of my foot on the edge of the step hurting both the bottom of my foot and slightly spraining my right ankle. The outside bottom of my foot is definitely swollen so besides grocery shopping I will be in for the day. I had planned on braving the cold (it will be a heatwave today at 30 degrees) to take a walk with my husband and dog but I think I better rest up as I will need to be on my feet at work all day tomorrow.
