i unpicked my dreadlocks last weekend too. I started friday night, and finished monday morning at 1:30am in time for work the next day. :D That's after cutting them down to 6 inches. Mine were 3 yrs old and had compacted down to about 5/8 of an inch thick, I have super curly hair so they were toight. Your hair looks lovely now they're out. It's fun to have a messy style for a while but boy, dreads are high maintenance. :D I'm loving being able to wash my hair and have it dry quickly.  

I appreciate that Dazey. I'm also a work in progress. One thing I've learned is sometimes the biggest jumps forward are after a struggle to move past what worked before but just gets in the way now. You've just made a huge jump forward 😃 

How long did you have them? I had mine for 3 years, took from the 9th of November until last monday!!!  

LivinBreezy- that is so true! Its been tough lately, as i mentioned in a diff post to Avocado Tea- im doing EMDR to heal trauma and its really helped me take chances to move past struggles. A pattern ive noticed is i let my hair lock up BECAUSE of deep emotional pain. This is the 3rd time ive had dreadlocks. 2018 was the first year that i was able to live in a chaos free/toxic free/abuse free environment.. all the unresolved stuff about tore me apart.
