Yes. I had tried it a few years ago but got scared because ‘the unknown’. But I did some Google and YouTube and basically you bung stuff on a jar and leave it a few days and wallah your high-end luxury pickles!

totally yum. If you put a vine leaf in it, the cucs will stay crunchy. We pickle too. I use brine solution, oh my it tastes so good.

Hi Treeslaugh, hey cool that you pickle. I have to try the actual dill yet, but I’ll look for vine leaf, and what about kefir like leaf. So many ideas.

Ooo never thought about Kefir lime leaf. I'm currently pickling/ fermenting cherry tomatoes in brine. Never done it before so hoping it tastes better than imagine. Mmmm pickles 😋

Hi TreesLaugh, just wondered how your pickled tomato’s went? Did you halve them? What herbs did you try? Cheers.

I'll be testing my first jar of cherry tomatoes for dinner tonight. I used fresh Thyme from the garden with a few garlic cloves. The larger tomatoes will be ready next week.

I finished eating my cucumbers and will do some more soon. The store bought vinegar ones aren’t near as good.

Have you pickled string green beans? I would like to try, do you any recipes?

For the beans, maybe basil and rosemary? I’ve only done that one set of cucumber with basil and chilli pepper which was OK but next I will try the proper dill pickle.
