“Be messy and complicated and afraid and show up anyways." - Glennon Doyle

So, here I am...showing up!

Just in case I can lighten someone's mood, or distract them from discouragement, or just let them know that I truly care about them.

I'm thankful this morning for the opportunity to spend time here on FS and to reflect on the many blessings that I enjoy by being here. Your posts/photos/comments are a welcome addition to my day as I get started again on my journey.

My "health victory" for this week, is that I've started an online course to learn to get a handle on my clutter (physical, mental & digital). My vision is to gain a sense of calmness & peace of mind, knowing where I can find things and make progress on my writing projects. My battle with anxiety goes back for decades, much like my battle with extra weight. Though not directly 'food related', I hope to learn the best ways to store/retrieve info I'm learning here regarding weight loss/fitness/mindfulness so that I can continue to be motivated & successful.

Is anyone else willing to share 1 health victory they've had this week? Maybe you successfully said 'NO' to a food choice that wasn't the best for you? Or perhaps you noticed a change in your mood or physique? Did you try a new recipe? Did you practice a 'random act of kindness' or were you a recipient of one? Let's share some smiles as we head into the weekend....🌞💙

I have been able to practice some habits I want as I consider maintenance - I a not near my goal so much - but I have been there and then gained back. I know I will do something different this time and that is to practice maintenance behaviors - logging and weighing in regular so I do not lose focus once I get there

Mine is I finally got back to the gym. I like being outside more, but I tend to get a better workout on the treadmill, so I need to work that in a bit. Even managed to (very) slowly jog a mile of my 3.4 miles, in shorter stretches with walk breaks in between. It's a start! 😃
