Oh. No. I complain a about 90 degrees. I need to shut my mouth. 🤐 

It's been consistently over 100° for weeks with a heat index/feels like temp hovering around 110°-120°.  

Dangerous.  

113F and 17% humidity here right now 🥵😂👏🤦‍♂️ 

How is that survivable? I get staying in the AC, but wildlife and insects can't do that. I wonder about the farm animals.

I vaguely recall Wells, but don't remember exactly what area it's in. I'm from East Texas and it's climate is not so different from East Georgia, the mosquitos are bigger in East Texas but that is about all the difference there is. 

I'll add a photo from the Wells, TX Wikipedia page, should give you a good idea of where. It's East TX.  

Looks good, phil! It's currently only 70 degrees here with 98% humidity. 95 degrees tomorrow with 62% humidity forecasted. The humidity is what kills me the most. I visited Guanajuato, Mexico, for 2 weeks during June a while back. It was hot & dry. I got sunburned & didn't even realize it was that hot. The high humidity makes the air nearly unbreathable. 

My family lives in Houston, Conroe, Cleveland and Kirbyville. Hubby's family is in Nacogdoches. I moved from Texas in 1985 and only go back for visits around Christmas. I guess East Texas has gotten hotter than I recall from my childhood. 

That IS pretty HOT there, phil! 🤒 

I've lived her all fifty of my years, Deb, we started getting these kind of summers back around '95 and they just seem to have gotten hotter and more severe over the last 20+ years. When I was a kid it was hot, but not hot like this. @Zen the humidity makes things so much worse, like a damn swamp. East Texas and Western Louisiana have the same thick swampy humid summers.  

UGHHHH... Those Temps with high humidity I know has to be unbearable! You make sure to stay hydrated, bud. 

I eat Kimchi every week, half a jar in one sitting. Would eat more but my mouth is on fire (in such a good way). Nice to see you taking a (healthy) day off from Carnivore living! 

@Zen we buy a lot of bottled water, stay inside in the worst of the heat of the day unless we're out on one of the lakes. Power outages are dreadful, thankfully we haven't had but three so far this summer. @Bananas I add low-starch veg fairly regularly, compromise with my wife and my doctor insisted that I add beans every couple of weeks, so I eat an actual USDA recommended serving, which ain't much! lol Carnivore in and of itself is always healthy. I don't practice adding extra fat to everything, it's not necessary and every diet should be more focused on what you're not consuming as opposed to worrying about what you know is on-plan.  

THREE power outages only this summer?!?! Yea, I've read that TX runs on their own grid. I'm so thankful we don't have that problem here. 🤞 My house runs off of well water. I'm wondering what kind of trace minerals are provided there. There is probably some kind of test I can do. I've been thinking about investigating that lately. 

Twice it was because trees fell across the lines, not sure about the third, I heard it was because a house caught fire and blew up a transformer. They've managed to restore power in less than four hours all three times, but it gets steamy inside pretty quick when the AC stops running. We've had power surges more often than that, but that's where the lights will flicker or cut off for a few seconds and then come back on. Frustrating when you got to reset all the clocks, reboot all the computers, and turn the tv back on. lol 

🤣 frustrating indeed...lol. 

Zen, you can try taking a sample of your water to the county health department. Ours here does free water testing for folks because of heavy agriculture run-off. We paid the extra $$ for a deep inline well, we are at 556 feet deep and our water is clear, ice cold and only has a heavy iron content. I never have to take an iron supplement! But my white clothes suffer in the laundry!
