Those are precious over here! Our area hit with avian flu and laying chickens have been put down in the thousands. Eggs here are expensive!!

DM, my friend mentioned that to me. I am wondering how soon (if ever) the price will go up on east coast. If the prices do go up, I expect that they will, I'm going to watch and see for how long. Thanks for the reminder to pay close attention

diana its okay. i have a weekend full of fun. snowboarding, running, hiking, dinners out . i was looking forward to sunshine but there will be an opportunity for that later in the year :)

Daddy Manatee you are spot on. Most is transmitted through waterfowl of which you have plenty up your way.
We ended up with, of all breeds, a Belgian Malnois who somehow decided to chase after any bird flying over the property.
Turns out we haven't had any flu with our flocks and we owe it to George.
