This is a huge meal on a normal sized dinner plate. Normally I’d still be hungry. And I was when I got up, but half an hour later it all hit and man am I full. Lost two pickles to thieving children but I can’t say no to puppy dog eyes :/ lol.

@wright thanks for defending me :). I hope I didn’t offend when I said about it not bothering me! I’m usually send it weight loss doesn’t bother me and neither do people who don’t like my food choices lol. I’ve caught a lot of flak from family and friends on the last and have chosen not to be bothered over the years. I like choc, candy and pop. I also like some veggies, potatoes, chicken and beef. Nobody has to eat it or enjoy it except me ;). Now if I posted a picture of myself and something mean was said I’d probably lash out at the commenter butbid get over it quickly :). Again thanks for defending me and my post!

@Charlotte yes it has a yellow flower! It is my only one. My dad had mismatched plates for years and when I moved in with my now hubby I mentioned needing to get more dishes because washing plates daily wasn’t my thing. Dad went to his cabinet and pulled out several mismatched plates and other things and sent them with me saying it was time he bought a new set. Pretty sure he didn’t and just didn’t need them as he was living alone and did his dishes daily by choice. This and one other are my favorites. My hubby and kids know that these are mine and they better not break them lol. Dad passed in 2011 so I cherish them even more. I ate on that plate when I was a young girl and still do at 37 ;). I have an every day set of 8, my moms set of 12-16 (she passed in 2013 and stepdad in 2015), my good set of 8 and my great grandmothers set of china. I still choose to eat off of dads two plates and moms next.

@Charlotte I just slice up chicken breasts like I would for fajitas. I spray my cast iron skillet with fake butter spray, pour on a ton of lemon pepper or just pepper then cook until just done if it’s to be eaten later or brown it more if I’m eating it immediately. This was actually a bit over done because I was focusing on heating up shrimp, crab legs and potatoes for the family while making this. All 4 of them had to be in my 12x12 kitchen (8x8 middle space) at once to ‘help’ and get drinks, napkins etc. I couldn’t get to the stove to turn it off and even after I did it cooked a bit more. I ate the over cooked pieces last night and added cheese to the left overs tonight as it was left over night :). 2 breasts (haha I’m a breast cancer survey and find humor when talking about chicken breasts) is enough for fajitas for my family of 5 or enough chicken for two meals for me. One with sides and one alone or two with sides and a small protein snack.

I don't live in the US so I was surprised about the plate. Guess what? They're made in Japan! I understand how special the plate would be. :) My husband has been cooking the chicken! I have to remember that I don't hate it so much when it's well prepared. Thank you!

You know, corn tortillas are a good food exchange if you need a bread substitute. Lower in sodium and a little protein. I get the smaller ones and they are 70 to 90 calories each if you are counting cals. Pickles would make me thirsty but I do like the crunch.

Thank you for the suggestion. However I highly dislike corn tortillas :/. I’ve tried them in restaurants for a healthier option but I find them hard to tear and chew. (Grind my teeth at night so they are dull which makes chewing some foods difficult) I did find a wheat bread that is 40 calories per slice! I don’t care for wheat bread but it’s not all that bad lol. I can eat pickles all the time! LOVE the juice and I make pickle pops for my kids by freezing the juice in any small containers I have. I used to dilute it with half water but they didn’t care for them. Also added a tsp of salt to each one which I’ve since stopped doing. I’m slowly trying to get my family to eat healthier with me so I’m planning on slipping the wheat bread in soon. Perhaps I can eventually add in corn tortillas for them :).
