Well, I took a total DAY OFF today! Calories over 2,300 for the 2nd day in a row. NO WALKING today, after going 6 miles a day for 32 consecutive days. Having the toe surgery coming up on Friday, and knowing I am forbidden to walk for 2-3 weeks kinda messed with my head. I figured, “since my record is going to be broken in a few days anyway, what’s the use pushing myself?” Because of all the other stuff I have going on medically, which will prohibit me from walking, bending, jostling myself, and going in the sun or getting my foot or leg wet, I realized that the ONLY time I can take the kids to enjoy our Busch Gardens and Water Country USA tickets is THIS WEEK. Going to BG on Monday and WCUSA on Wednesday. I’m NOT ready for this so soon!

Well, the “no bread” stipulation of my new WOE went out the window on the third day. Yesterday was my 30th day of walking 6 miles a day! Bad news on that front, though. I have to have toe surgery next Friday, and I won’t be able to do my walking for at least 3 weeks. BUMMER! I really NEED to have those 700 calories a day that I burn off with the walking. This year is my year of getting perfectly healthy! Having cataract surgery in both eyes in July, starting the chemotherapy cream on the skin cancer on my leg about that same time, doing PT so my back doesn’t hurt, possibly having bladder surgery. By the time I finish, I’ll be a bionic woman! Still planning to always and forever give up diet soda sometime this month, as soon as my Diet Root Beer runs out!

Yesterday I had less than 1,400 calories, only 21 net carbs that weren’t fruit or vegetables. Lost weight this morning, PTL! Got in my 6 miles of walking - 28 days in on achieving that every day! I start Physical Therapy today for my mid back. It hurts all the time, but especially when I walk. Daily pain level is usually 5, but it has been as high as 8 on occasion. Makes me have to rest my back after every mile of walking (every 1/2 mile on really bad days). That doesn’t work for me, because I’m planning to walk my first ever 5K this fall. Gotta build up my endurance to be able to get up to 3.1 miles at a time! No King’s Hawaiian rolls or Thomas’ English Muffins yesterday. It wasn’t as hard to give them up as I thought it would be, PTL!
