It's kind of funny. Just sitting here and taking stock of it all. While my journey is far from over, it's just amazing to sit here and take stock. I'm not even sure if anyone will read this but I just felt like writing it all down
When I began this journey I was 237.5 kilos. I didn't even know I was that big, but it was the truth. I had just turned 36, and the way I was heading, probably wouldn't have lived to see 45.
As of yesterday, just over 9 months later, I'm 182.9, just 400 grams off 55 kilos lost.
I'm kind of a shy person, I suffer from social anxiety. So I haven't answered anyone's comments or messages of encouragement. I HAVE read them though, and they mean a lot to me, so to everyone who has left a comment just saying well done or giving me some encouragement, thank you. It's nice to know that I'm not alone in this and for those of you going through your own battles, you CAN do this. Maybe your journey will be long, maybe it will be short but if I can do this, anyone can.
My journey is far from over, 182 is still probably at least 60 kilos more than I should be and I know there will be pitfalls and setbacks yet to come, but for the first time in my life I feel like I am in control, that I can do this. Soon the world will know the new, healthy me.
I for one can't wait to meet him.
