I did 5mins on the elliptical just now. I was doing 2mins for the past few days but this time I pushed myself until my legs literally couldn't move the peddles anymore and it was right on 5mins. My legs almost gave out when I stepped off the machine. I can walk for about 20mins before my legs start to feel really heavy, about 30 before they start to feel like they're going to give out like they almost did after using the elliptical. I will get on the elliptical again when I get back from the tip and buying some chicken breasts for my udon soup. A couple mins on the elliptical might seem like a small feat for most but for someone my weight who doesn't exercise, i feel like its more than a small feat. Only thing that I'm not happy about is that I have to have a puff of ventolin afterwards but hopefully I'll get to a point where I can exercise without needing to take it anymore.

I was reading comments on big girls youtube video the other day and someone said something that I had always though myself. That is that people never comment on a skinny persons food choices or lifestyle habits... they never notice a skinny person eating KFC, a burger, pizza, cake or soft drink.

No one ever tells lazy skinny people that they're lazy and need to exercise... nor do they call them gluttonous pigs when they go back for seconds and thirds or stuff their faces with doritos, ice cream, chocolate and coke. And we all know plenty of skinny people who are lazy with even worse diets than most of us have. But because they're skinny, no one takes notice or even cares really...

But let a fat person pick up a piece of fried chicken, a slice of pizza, a piece of cake or a coke and the wolves decide its time to come out and play. Let a fat person take a seat and suddenly they're lazy sloths...

I want to lose weight for health reasons as well as (and probably most importantly) for a better quality of life. But when I hear these hypocrites talking shit about fat people as though those "negative traits" they point out in us, don't exist in skinny people... well that just pisses me right off and makes me want to take a sledge hammer to most of their heads.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that fat people don't need to lose weight... of course we do. I'm saying that fat people are demonised for being fat and were always being watched and scrutinized like were sub-human science experiments. Meanwhile, skinny people on shitty diets and who don't exercise but remain skinny are exempt from the ridicule, stares and dehumanizing remarks and treatment that the rest of us fat people have to endure, all because their bodies don't create and store fat like ours do.

And then you have these people who are like "its just a matter of saying no, having will power"... These same people who say this shit don't have food addictions, they don't have a problem with "saying no" to food because they don't experience food the same way many of us do. Its easy for me to say no to alcohol because I don't have an alcohol problem... its easy for me to say no to heroine because I don't have a heroine addiction... its easy for me to say no to wearing fur because I love animals and am against anything where animals are killed just so that we can wear their skins. So for someone to say "oh you're just weak and need to have more will power" ESPECIALLY when they have no idea what it is like to A) suffer with addictions and B) with your specific addiction is pig headed and arrogant.

I could go on with my rant for days but I just needed to vent cause some of these keyboard nazis on youtube just make my blood boil.
