2 week camping holiday by cool refreshing rivers. At night it sounds like rain, so soothing and peaceful. Diet not easy to log as reception poor, besides...we are on holidays xxx

I certainly need to knuckle down and exercise if I want to see the digits go down, yup I want to see a countdown again. I'm not freaking out as my clothes are getting looser in different areas of my body where it wasn't before. Hmmm my body's reshuffling itself 🤣 loose areas needing urgent toning up. It feels grand being flexible, light and painfree.
Onwards and downwards.

I want to share with you all my results of an experiment I did to myself these last 2 weeks 🤪
On one day only each week I ate a full block of 120g chocolate, a bag of lollies and had one bowl of flavoured icecream with macadamia nuts. All these items were foods I once craved before I started my weighloss journey.
The results?
1. I actually found no pleasure during or after eating them.
2. Immediately caused painful digestion once eaten.
3. Extreme drowsiness and heavy sleep within an hour of eating. Slept 2 solid hours until better.
4. Puffy eyes and bags under eyes.
5. Hot flushes for 24 hours ( I'm in peri menopausal stage and have had no hot flushes for almost 4 months!) so this was most frustrating and uncomfortable especially in this hot weather.
6. Insomnia and restless sleep all night!
7. Headaches
8. Burning sensation on the tops of my feet.
9. Blew over my daily calories limit on these food items alone!!
10. Dry mouth and very thirsty.
11. Still felt hungry and not satisfied after eating those items. My poor tummy grumbled all night, I was starving.
All in all, I'm glad I tried this experiment. I don't miss, crave or desire to eat chocolate, lollies or icecream. In fact, I realised whenever I was tired all I wanted was something ready made; cold and/or crunchy. Ice cubes with a shot of coffee did the job and also making sure to stop my "being busy" to put me first by making healthy meals to eat at the regular time each day. lollies gave me no zing either.😉
Praise God I'm free from cravings. 😇
Staying firm on my healthy eating journey will be full-time and ongoing. I'm satisfied with my decision xxx🥰
