I think I have passed the worst of it because for the first time since I started this Optifast I didn't wake up feeling hungry in fact I just realized that yesterday passed without me feeling hungry at all. Saturday was stressful because I had a buffet dinner to go to, but I had to eat something because I just could not bear for people to ask why I was not eating. I was mindful to get back on track the next day. One week to go and I will weigh myself then.

I'm on my third day on Optifast, and OMG I woke up feeling hungry and it's likely I will go to bed feeling hungry. Since I know this may go on for at least another day all I can say to the powers that be, give me strength!

Okay, so I have not started the Optifast yet. I have been so reluctant but I will from tomorrow for the next two weeks.

My Doc had recommended I do Optifast for at least 2 weeks, just to kickstart weight loss so I can have the hip surgery that I need and get off the crutches. I don't need to lose all of the weight I just need to lose at least 30kg before I can book in for the surgery. I'm starting it today, so does anyone have any thoughts about embarking on the Optifast route? Personally, I don't think I can last beyond the two weeks, I was thinking I should replace 1 meal substitute with an actual meal. Oh well, I will cross that bridge when I get to it.
