Update on my daughter and I - my daughter was sent home from the hospital, and has been struggling badly since then as she did NOT have surgery, has to use a walker to get to the restroom, and cannot drive therefore cannot work either. She is extremely frustrated as one can just imagine!
I on the other hand saw my endocrinologist on Thursday, and depending on bloodwork results, he's going to try some new treatment options with me and biopsy my thyroid nodes to rule out cancer (which he's 99% sure I don't have, but best to be safe than sorry).
Friday I had a hip fluoroscope procedure, and felt AMAZING for 2.5 days! It's not the answer based on what's currently happening as I'm experiencing pain again - so I have a follow up appointment with the ortho surgeon to discuss options but he's already said if it works, GREAT! If it doesn't then my pain is more than likely going to continue from the soft tissue and sciatica that I've been experiencing... not good news for me!
I've done my best not to eat my feelings into submission and I've stayed within my calorie goals so YAYYY me! Thanks to everyone who's commented and shown support!

Warehouse scale is 100% accurate, and I'm still in shock! I realize this would be very different if I weighed weekly, so I'm very pleased to see this move on the scale! Whatever I'm doing, is working for now!

my 35yr old daughter was admitted to the hospital yesterday and prepped for emergency surgery on her back (again)... disc again... now they said fusion. I have been doing my best not to eat my feelings down! She didn't have surgery yet, but is in excruciating pain. Her husband is with her thankfully, but there's just no possible way I can describe how I'm feeling other than helpless while I hear her crying and witnessing her exhaustion. My daughter was once almost 600 pounds, had gastric sleeve surgery, and now weighs less than I do. About 7 months ago she had back surgery, and was told it would take up to 3 years to heal. A few days ago she had an incident with my 9yr old grandson that threw her back out and now she's in more pain than ever. I just want to FEED to cover my emotions - but, I surrender this too shall pass... in the photo, she's holding her husbands wedding ring, which has always seemed to calm her... they're a closely bonded pair those two love birds - even after 12yrs... for that, I'm gratefully blessed...

Didn't do so great this weekend other than I stopped when I was full - which is a milestone in itself for me! I'm planning to weigh on Thursday... usually only once a month, either last day of the month or on the 1st, whichever falls on a weekday where I can use the scale in the warehouse, which I know is calibrated and accurate unlike the doctor or my own... hopefully there's a change, but if not, it's okay... I'm aware that my hyperthyroidism beast is doing it's absolute best to beat me! However, I refuse to give in to self destruction for things out of my control... HAPPY MONDAY!

wasnt sure how dinner would be and it's hard finding correct answers to what I searched for but we had Chinese tonight and I couldn't eat 1/3 of the portions! cold left overs for sure... plus I didn't choose my normal sweet option & got teriyaki sauce on the side of the chicken and steamed veggies and half order of chow mein but gave my guy half of that too lol... all in all, I'm pleased with my self control and stopped as soon as I felt satisfied!
