Bus was late but finally got the kids off to school. Hubby had his truck there as he had to take the oldest to morning practice and always offers me a ride. Today I was very solemn, shook my head no, yelled ‘race ya’ and took off our 400 ft hilly driveway filled with potholes (hills are small, maybe a foot or so higher in places). Normally he would pass the kids halfway so I was surprised when I made it there and realized he was just starting. Seems the dog sat in front of him haha. Guess she wanted to give a girl a head start! Made it clear to the house before he had a chance to catch up. 5 minutes later breathing back to normal as well as heart rate. This was a full out sprint as fast as I could go. I haven’t been able to do this in at least 2 years due to health issues then weight. Am considering running but honestly I don’t know if I can. Our road is loose sand which is way harder than a packed road or concrete path. We will see. Came in and did 7 assisted muscle ups and 4 each pull ups and chin ups. Not a big victory but it was on an empty stomach and I lowered and raised myself very slowly to get the full benefit of stressing the muscles. Therefore I earned my delicious protein bar. Yay!

Thanks :). I decided this afternoon to give my 62# kid a piggy back ride. Was she happy walking? Nope. So I jogged with her about half a block to the car. Not much but again, progress as I’m not used to carrying 60+# lol. I’ve been jogging form Walmart to my car and get funny looks. To me it gets in exercise when I only have a few minutes, gets me out of that damn place faster and can’t hurt. It’s so nice to do these things like I did years ago.
Thanks for telling me what they are called! I just know sprinting is all out running for short periods/distances. Now I’ll know what it’s really called.
