Some on the app say real food is better than protein bars. They say there’s way too many carbs and sugars in protein bars. Well there may be. However, mine is just as filling as one sandwich, 2g more protein, only a few more carbs and tastes like a candy bar. Goes to show that you really should compare foods first to see if it’s worth it. Mine are totally worth it! Helps keep my daily snickers habit down to 5-6 times a month 😉. Mine are seasonal 😭. I can’t buy them for another year. I can get them on amazon for double the price until they are gone. Do I really want to pay $2 for a small snack protein bar when snickers are less than $1? I can use shakes but they are $2 yet have 30g protein vs 16g in the bars and 14g in my sandwich. A tuna sandwich is about $2 and around 24g protein. Oh decisions decisions! Hate making decisions because who knows what I’ll crave in a few months!! May break down and get 70ish bars for $130 😭😭 and just pray they stay good for months. So many things we’ve bought lately are bad when I open them. One was cream and it should’ve been gone for another 2 weeks. Rotten potatoes in the middle of the bag. Lettuce that turns brown the day after I open it. Bananas that are green yet are almost black in 3 days. Apples that spoil in a week or so. 😳 What happened to good foods staying good for longer than a few days? Oh and hubby informed me we have no ground beef in the freezer. So it’s elk, I buy some (store meat-yuck) or I come up with something else. So the bars are looking even better lol. Although elk tacos weren’t bad. But I have to hide it in a casserole generally to get anyone to eat it.

Yep. I don’t mind decisions when I have a few choices but when there are too many I sort of shut down. In the last year or so I’ve noticed I get overwhelmed much easier than I did before my health issues.

Yeah, sounds like stress. Makes every darn thing difficult.

My counselor said the same! Anxiety and stress. Ask that if I can get rid of those then my depression would probably go away! That’s my end goal. But if I’m on happy pills forever that’s okay too. But they better get me some better ones haha.
