A friend and I were discussing IF. She thought it was fasting for three days, eating for a day, fasting for two days then eating the last day. Explained what it was and she said oh I do that and explained her habits. So she’s about 14/10 or 12/12. Not great but not bad either. So I told her I’ve done it for years! Wake up and fast until 1 or so, eat for an hour then fast from 2-7. Eat 7-8 and fast 8-10, snack 10-2 A.M. then fast through the night. That counts right??? 🤣🤪🤣🤪 We agreed we like that king of IF best! Hehe. My eating window would only be 6 hours it would just be spread out lol.

This same friend wouldn’t listen to the fact that one large homemade smoothie per day wasn’t enough. She had surgery and PT over 18 days. She ate food 2-3 times a day plus a small smoothie. Some meals were salad and others were full meals. She lost 4# in 18 days eating way more than she has been and still doesn’t believe me that it’s because her body needed those extra calories! They had her on a diet of any food but it was healthy and medium portions. She knew she was at a deficit and they told her to eat more. I’m working on her ;). Thankfully she’s against Keto as I am! For myself that is. So we could have a similar diet if I can talk her out of the whole liquid smoothie only diet!

Thanks :). She is limited on activity after her neck surgery so the gym is out. Not even walking at the moment. She’s basically inactive so thinks 600 kcal a day is good or her 32 ounce smoothies with protein are about 800-900 I think. She’s starting to listen to me that she may need some actual food and some real protein from nuts and meat. I love helping so it’s gratifying when she tried something I suggested and fidns it works or that she likes it. She’s still working on me for a total smoothie diet but I like solid foods too much!
