I read about this lady who ended up having a tumor because of this diet and needed a hysterectomy. Her body was failing. I haven’t done a lot of research since seeing this but I can see where a restrictive diet such as this could cause some major issues. The rumor sounds far fetched however the rest of it not so much. Need to find more information rather than the ‘I know someone who...’ stuff online.
