@skyheart424, there are several people who are on the site to gain weight and build muscle. They have difficulty keeping weight on; not like the majority, but still a weight concern.

Of course I know many people want to gain weight or gain muscle 😅 in fact that is what I am trying to do , change my body composition by reducing fat percentage and increasing muscle mass but I didn’t know that you need to be in calories surplus for that .. I was confused because in your profile it says how much you lose per week so that’s all, sorry if I bothered or offended anyone, definitely didn’t mean to

Some times I completely forget the basics and then someone reminds me. Muscle mass or muscle growth simply needs to be at or very near maintenance calories and/or a slight surplus. Too few folks take the time to find what their calorie needs are to stay at maintenance and then they miss out on the advantages of being able to stay flexible with food types and never really fear any food type. Skyheart424 thank for this reminder. I've been doing this for a long time and forget some people really aren't aware of how difficult muscle growth is when in a deficit either too steep or nutrient depriving.

I would be hard pressed to drop carbs to what most consider low; I like to move, lift, drop, rinse and repeat too much.
