I beg to differ... No workouts for 4 days before yesterday's intense gym session. No soreness at all today, so I'm thinking it's the calm before a DOMS storm tomorrow :(

I thought I’d be sore today but nothing 😒 I think I need to go harder

I read that DOMS shows that you are actively repairing the muscle. Not everyone gets it though and can’t tell when relating occurs. It’s kinda nice because now when I don’t want to crawl out of bed I can it’s think about all that muscle I’m building in that moment haha.

I don’t feel sore on workout day except as I’m lifting. It’s more of a weak shakey feeling that continues until I get home lol. My only true soreness is a day or two later. I didn’t know it could be those other things.

I’m stressing my brain? Lol. I thought I was stronger but decided to do 3 sets of 19 reps on everything today rather than go up or down on weights. I bounced from one machine to the next for 4 machines with only 30 seconds between sets and however long it took to move to the next machine. After that I watched the kid and hubby did the same so I had a 10 minute break there I think. HR dropped to around 100-105 each break. We managed to get all machines done in 36 minutes according to my watch. I paused the workout whenever I took a break with the kiddo. Seems she needed an adult within arms reach while she was on the treadmill. Gave up my last set on the rear flies, overhead press and tricep pull down thingies. Just upped the weights on the 2nd set. First time I didn’t feel like falling down the stairs in the way out lol. Did legs first and arms last so my arms were still shakey when we got home. I had to drop the weights to get all 3 sets of 10 in on those machines. Some by 1-15#! Not sure if I like that as it seems like I’m taking two steps backwards. I’m tired and can’t remember where I was going with this so....
