I don’t recommend adding Now whey isolate to chobani Greek yogurt. I thought it would be better than just adding it to water like the other day. Nope... Hit coffee is helping me choke it down lol.

Why choke it down? Why force yourself to eat what you don't like?

Waste no want not.

I grew up with that philosophy too but I'm convinced it contributed to my overweight issue. I'd continue eating food long after it tasted good or eat it even if it didn't taste good but I didn't want to waste. But that still left me hungry for more. I think of how kids will spit out what doesn't taste good to them. Maybe it's childish but it's one of my tools. I don't spit but I'll assess and think 'Mmm...nope.. not liking this. No need to push it into my mouth.'

It was like $55 so we will use it lol. We will drink this or another kind so may as well get this. The 110 kcal for 25g of protein made me want to buy it. It had great reviews. It doesn’t taste good in water or milk either lol. I’ll see about adding it to my new unflavored creatine and watermelon bcaa powder. Hubby can add it to his creatine bcaa mix. His is 175 kcal for half a serving (full serving for me)while mine will be 30 kcal for a serving. (60 for his) Next time I’ll just get what we each like and find a way to fit the calories in. Turns out I didn’t need the protein today anyway. Hoping it stays in the muscle for tomorrow lol.

Maybe mixed into a smoothie?

Has anyone ever tried that Almased drink diet? It says you can lose 10 lbs in 14 days!!

@bella, would love to but smoothies rarely fit in my 1500 kcal a day. Banana masks a lot of things so I may just have to eat a banana smoothie with it for breakfast. The problem there is that I don’t eat breakfast lol. And I make up protein at night and can’t run the blender past 8-9pm. I may have to do some earlier planning again. 😉

@Chris, I’m not a cranberry fan at all. I’ll search for that protein when this is gone. Only like 75 servings left lmao.

@Jopenn, nope sure haven’t. I don’t go for fad diets at all. Plus if it’s a liquid diet over 14 days then I’m sure you would lose weight. As soon as you ate solid foods you’d gain it back. Just think of having a stomach bug. You lose weight from getting everything out of your system but when you eat again you gain it back and usually a bit more. It’s easier to stick to a calorie deficit eating foods you like and not having to limit things like all solid foods ;).

I drink the isopure too. Also no need to drink bcaa's, they are naturally in protein, and if your drinking a protein shake definitely no need to take extra bcaa's, so you can save some money on the bcaa's. I also drink Dymatize whey isolate. The fudge brownie and chocolate peanut butter are pretty good.

Keep in mind I like sweets but can’t stand the fake sweet aftertaste. Premier protein shakes are about all I can stand lol. Walmart has a cookies and cream powder that’s okay and fitcrunch cinnamon twist is okay, both in almond milk. The rest I can’t stomach. The problem with flavored things is it is higher calories.

I added the bcaa’s because I eat beef and chicken. Occasionally some almonds like once a month. Pork is about the same. I don’t eat fish at all so can’t get a lot of amino acids from those. Man I hope I’m remembering the right terms lol. I have issues swallowing pills larger than a small Advil so taking supplements in pill form is pretty much out unless small and have a coating. Think tiny Claritin size 😉. The more hydrated I get the better I can swallow them somewhat. Anyway, hubby had creatine powder with bcaas but they changed it and it’s 175 kcal when it was 30! Same stuff just the larger jug. So I bought my own for 30 kcal,,, creatine and bcaa separate powders. I’m thinking I can add the protein powder to that on workout days. I may just have to have it every day. I’m getting sick of eating so much meat all the time. I’m missing my fried potatoes, loaded baked potatoes or pasta with every dinner and chips with every lunch. I’d like to add each of those in once a week plus a night of biscuits and gravy or mashed potatoes and gravy. To do that I need to cut the protein calories. 😉😁

Chris, I eat lunch 11am-2pm and we go tot he gym from 6-7. Dinner is 8-9 pm. If I eat before the gym I have to cut out half or all of one of those meals as I always have a bedtime snack. I’ve cut it out and everyone tells me I’m much easier to live with when I have it lol. I don’t wake up super hungry and bitchy 😉. Plus I look forward to that snack (100-400 kcal) all day so it helps me stay positive and happy. Small price to pay for a family who wants to be around me lol. I tried to add the powder to the yogurt thinking I could have that for breakfast/mid morning and cut out part of my meat at dinner but that didn’t work out well lol.

😉 I just get sick of mostly meat. If I make casseroles I tend to go light on meat then have to have a hamburger patty or chicken breast to make up for it lol. My bcaa powdernis amino build next gen in watermelon. $21/30 servings. It’s a bit pricey but I need the vitamin B’s so this got that for me too. A fellow BC survivor said those vitamins are what give her energy so it couldn’t hurt. I could’ve gotten one for like $10 but no with the vitamin B’s and in watermelon flavor. Ok so I’ll be honest, the watermelon flavor sold me mostly lol. I love just about anything watermelon favored. Next time I’ll see if it’s cheaper in a bigger jug or look for something else. I’ve only used the creatine and bcaa’s a few times and haven’t noticed much of a difference. I’m hoping to give it this month or more and see how I gain. IF my scale is correct then in 9 weeks I’ve gained 1.05# of fat and 0.5# of muscle. I expected the fat gain but expected at least double that muscle gain. 2# was my unrealistic goal, but with having to lift lighter one day a week due to lifting as heavy as I can one day plus being female with no hormones I figured 1# was a safe bet over 8 weeks. 🤷‍♀️ Scans coming soon I think as this scale can’t be accurate.

When figuring price(0 carb ones) per gram of protein and serving of product it’s twice the price of what we have now and would save me about 30% on my shakes. I think I’ll keep mine as I enjoy them so much. I’ll ask the hubby if he wants to switch. He likes body fortress’s cookies and cream but it’s 60g for 400 kcal. Twice what it should be. Probably because of the sugar lol. He likes the fruit punch creatine from cell tech (muscle tech). I’d love more stuff by them but I’m having trouble finding a lower calorie count on their items while keeping the price low. We aren’t broke or anything but I love being frugal. The more I save on the extras like these powders the more we can spend getting weights for home or workout clothes. I price shop on those too lol. Actually just found a great deal locally for like $4-5 per pair of workout pants. So now I have like 7 pairs lol. But trying to save money while finding products we like is becoming a hassle. He will probably tell me to just get the cookies and cream. He eats 2300-2600 on his ‘diet’ so he can afford the calories. You men irritate the heck out of me with your awesome calorie consumption lol. I have to stick to half that to lose lol. 😖

Thank you for the recommendations! He gets the next pick but I’m putting them in my amazon list for him to check out 😁
