For those of you who are trying to gain weight/muscle....

When you end up having a deficit for 2 days (600 kcal), how do you handle it? Do you add in 600 the next day? Over the next few days? Leave it be and go back to 10-20% over burn the rest of the week?

I’m down a good 600 and looks to be another 200-300 today. I haven’t been hungry and forcing myself to eat more than I want. Just because I need the nutrition. I have the munchies so can easily add 400 for a muffin, 200-250 for a candy bar or even do cheese and chips for 400-800. I’m afraid I’ve already wasted any gains I’d have gotten from Monday and don’t want to waste today’s gains! But also afraid to over eat by 40% today to make up and gain fat. Ugh this can get confusing lol. Especially when I’m having concentration issues and can’t focus long enough to google and find the best answer. TIA!

Just get back to the surplus the next day. Don't change anything. Muscle gain is very slow so any extra calories on top of your normal surplus will just result in more fat gain.
