Looks banging and I see it’s a normal 🤗😋😋 I’m glad you are all good ♥️♥️ We’re ok friend. The homeschooling isn’t totally efficient here in Pa. Just trying to get by. I drew the very first Covid-19 antibody test on Saturday in a very sick patient and another on Sunday on another sick patient with 2 positive known exposures....... they both were abnormal 😩 my concern is, they were ill. Not a test to see if they had it prior. Also not the nasopharyngeal swab. But like any quick swab or rapid test, they are about 80% accuracy. An antibody year in I’ll patients, that’s serum, a blood draw. Friend every dry cough since😩😩😩🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😂 💜💚

The antibody test has an 80% accuracy rate or the COVID test? Our city is doing a blood drive next week. They are offering free antibody tests to anyone willing to donate blood. I’ve never donated before but I think I might go with hubby this time. So you were exposed? Is there anything you can do?

Any rapid in-house test is about 80% accurate. The nasopharyngeal swab is great. However, it depends on the sample that was gathered on the swab, how long the swab was rotated and in place, How long before it sat before getting to a commercial lab, travel time. Nothing is perfect. The reality is that the testing is important. I have had an issue with the priorities of testing. For too long it was “ Did you travel out of the Country?” Well when we had our first hot spots in Washington, California and then NYC..... “ Have traveled outside of the country?” The antibody test is just what it sounds like. You either had, or recently had Covid -19 and could still be contagious. It’s a novel virus. Nothing is certain. Having antibodies, only statistically shows an exposure. We don’t know if those antibodies are a protection. Also with nasopharyngeal swab, you can be negative because you happen to have a bacterial or other viral infection. You can then go and contract Covid-19 later. This virus is 10-20 times more lethal then the flu. Last year Pa lost less than 150 souls from influenza A and B. Right now in 2 months, we are in are way to 3,000 deaths.

That looks delish!

It’s super easy tatauu! One serving of egg noodles, any size hamburger patty or crumbles and however much gravy you like. I usually use 2 servings of brown gravy for 80 kcal and try for 100-150g of meat. That will be around 500-600 kcal and it’s very filling. You can also use cream of mushroom soup instead of gravy. My kids like it too. We don’t care for the actual stroganoff sauce.

JC, since they came back abnormal then there’s a good chance you were exposed? I’ve never given blood and I’m afraid it’ll make me dizzy. Plus I don’t want the calories from the snack they give you but they made hubby eat it in front of them the first time. Now they let him walk out with it because they know he will eat it and giving blood doesn’t affect him. I want the antibody test for my youngest as she had a flu like illness with fever back in March that the drs could be explain. Back in December and January some of us had a cough and unexplained fever. The blood bank is the only place around here with antibody tests and I know she can’t give blood (she’s 5). I took care of her so I figure if I get tested and show antibodies then we will know she probably has them too. It wouldn’t change anything. I’ll still go get lunch twice a week, wear masks in the store on my weekly shopping trip, use sanitizer and wash hands religiously... I’d just like to know. If I don’t have antibodies the only thing that would change is the little one won’t be going in any stores with me. Sometimes I have no choice but to take her but I’d start having her and her sisters stay in the car.

Thanks Peeper. That sounds easy and delish, I love brown gravy. I would also like to get the antibody test.

You can use chicken too and poultry gravy but we prefer the beef and brown gravy. Brown gravy is a weakness of mine lol. Thankfully I can stop at 2 servings though!

I wanted to get total confirmation about the antibody testing to be sure, so I asked my girlfriend at work last night about only seeing it come back with IgG values and no reference of IgM. Here locally we are only running it IgG which is the Elisa test. It only looks for the antibody. So it means the patient did have it and if it’s being drawn on a current ill patient it means they most likely have it at the time of draw. So I brought up both cases to her ( she’s a physician) and because they were ill at the time they were most likely a current infection. I was really cautious with both. But it is such close contact. I also just want to say thank you ♥️♥️♥️♥️

I’m on the fence so we go get lunch at the school twice a week, shopping once a week, twice if the store puts out a FB special mid week that I want/need and we go twice a month for prescriptions. I try to do as much as I can on ‘lunch days’ to limit exposure. We all wear masks most of the time. If I go with hubby I forget that my mask isn’t in his truck so sometimes I don’t have one. I wash hands and use sanitizer religiously so I think we will stay healthy.

I signed up to give blood next week. They are offering free antibody testing if we would sign up for Tuesday or Wednesday so I signed ya up for Wednesday. I don’t like needles so it should be fun lol. Blood draws aren’t as bad as shots so I think I’ll be good. I’m not a breakfast eater so I’ll have to remember to eat before I go. IF I have antibodies then I’ll set up a monthly donation because I’ve read they need blood with antibodies. Hubby goes monthly now because his blood is too thick.

Definitely good to limit your outings and hand washing and sanitizer are everything ☺️ Anything you can use though like a bandanna or scarf. Like maybe put those in your hubby’s truck. You’re high risk friend ♥️💜💚

That’s so awesome of you to do that!! Especially since you get lightheaded. Definitely have some breakfast or bring some juice and a cereal bar.

They normally give hubby cookies and a pop. This is at a church so not sure if it’ll be the same or not. I have some procedure masks my aunt gave me during chemo. I usually wear those. Bought a 50 pack of surgical masks last week to make sure we have plenty. My MIL made me a mask but it’s way too big. Tried to make some myself and my machine messed up lol. None of the cloth ones I’ve tried fits close to my face :/. I truly think we’ve already had it though. If the antibody test is accurate we will find out for sure.
