I’ve been eating under my maintenance calories for awhile now. I’m staying the same mostly. Last week I was under 550 kcal yet had a slight gain. Today I’m going to do a little experiment. I plan to eat anything and everything I want today and will see what the scale shows tomorrow and next week.

Basically I’m going to eat pizza and calzone for lunch and dinner today and probably have a few snacks. I’m guessing it’ll be a 3000 calorie day. That’s almost twice my daily maintenance calories.

Yep! Gained a bit more water than I thought but not bad. Ribs hurt off and on. Dr pushed around on them and I think she slipped them back in place. It hurt worse that night and has slowly gotten better since. I could do most of my workout without pain, just discomfort. Getting out of the recliner still hurts a bit. Was able to move around some 50# bags of seeds without much trouble. I’d say it’s healing nicely! Thanks for asking 😊.

I'm glad to hear you are doing better. You are one tough chick I think. You talk of having to carefully get out of a recliner and then are hauling seed bags around and doing workouts at teh gym like you discribed in your other post! Gosh! 😁

Chris, not sure how long I want to do it. It was just one day 😉. I do have leftover pizza though. I had 400 calories for lunch (chicken breast) and got full. I can easily over eat pizza, snickers, almonds, gravy etc, but not ‘real’ food (meat, veggies, potatoes, rice etc). I’m a little worried about going two weeks. Your slight increase and mine may be different lol. I’m good as long as I stay 120-125. I’d rather not reach 127-128 again. In your opinion, which range do you think I’d stay at with 1800-2000 calories a day? I doubt I could eat more than that for more than a week. I’m willing try that for the full week and reevaluate though! Would be interesting to see how it affects the workouts.

Thanks Melissa! I told hubby I would NOT be helping on the farm when he started but I think he wanted company so decided I’d help him move the bags. I was really surprised that it didn’t really hurt. Trying to throw 50# from the tailgate to the truck cab didn’t feel real good though lol. Gave up after the 3rd bag and just drug them up. I guess I have a high pain tolerance. After surgeries I take what they give me so I can be released. After that it’s 2 Advil twice a day or nothing. I dislike how I feel on pain meds and I’m allergic to hydrocodone. The last few surgeries they’ve let me go with just a couple Advil when I flat refused to take pain meds. I broke a bone in my foot and didn’t bother to go to the dr. I did go for a cast when I broke my hand because it was my right hand and I’m right handed. I cried because I was so angry (angry enough to hit a wall and break my hand), but not because of the pain. I took some Advil the first few days after that. I stub my toe and cry like a baby but other stuff I’m just fine lol.

With the recliner I think it’s because we have it pretty tight so it stays laid down. Otherwise it wouldn’t stay down while I was watching tv. It’s basically like laying on the floor then sitting straight up to a sitting position. I roll out of bed on my side and it doesn’t bother me at all. I’m thinking it’ll completely quit bothering me in another week or two.
