To all my fellow Christians who have been praying for guidance and resolution for the New Year, I got mine today!!! PRAISE THE LORD! The Lord may lead you in a totally different direction than He’s led me, but I wanted to share just in CASE you think the same solution might work for you! (PS, it can also be a blessing to my many NON-Christian friends who may have just been “hoping” for motivation and direction but not actually PRAYING for it!)

I just joined a program where you wager ON YOURSELF to accomplish a specific weight-loss goal in a pre-determined (by you) timeframe. I, personally, am wagering $46/month that I will lose 60 pounds in six months. When I DO, I will get a payout of $869, which will be just under $600 of PROFIT over what I will have put into the program over the six-month period. (I’ve intentionally kept the profit to under $600 so I won’t have to pay taxes on my winnings.) Still, even with the reduced wager, I will be making OVER THREE TIMES what I’m putting into the program! Now, THAT’s a great return on a 6-month investment!

I’ve always said that I think I would do really WELL if someone would offer me a nice monetary reward when I reach a certain weight. Well, now I’ve gotten my chance to prove it.

I’ve been praying for quite some time that God would give me guidance on what “diet” plan to follow and that He would give me the motivation to get started and to stay on track. I truly feel that my “stumble” onto this website was divinely orchestrated by Him at the perfect time for me to get my rear in gear.

About the program – I checked it out on Better Business Bureau and it has a 4.77 out of 5-star rating with them, and there is no mention of it at all on Snopes (which gives scam alerts). The program has been featured on The Today Show, Good Morning America, CNN and The Doctors. It is NOT a diet plan – but a MOTIVATION plan. In the past 12 months, they have paid out over 9 MILLION dollars in bonus checks!

I won’t go into all the details here, except to say that FOR ME, this is like a shot of adrenaline! I can follow ANY diet program I want to, or do a different one every month. No restrictions on diet choices or exercise – use anything that works FOR YOU to lose the specified amount (which YOU choose) during the specified timeframe (which you also choose – but the shortest period of time is 6 months, so this isn’t some flash-in-the-pan thing that you do for a couple weeks and then go back to gaining). You also determine how much you want to wager on yourself, and you can pay that all up front or pay monthly over the course of your goal period. I’m paying by the MONTH, because it will be more motivating for me to see that money going out every month for the next six months, as a reminder that I need to stay on track!

So glad to hear that you have found something that resonates with you. I've done dietbet a few times, but never for that length of time so payouts have been much smaller. I'd forgotten all about it, I'm gonna check out your link!

@Rckc, hope it will be something that will work for you. I LIKE the 6-month minimum challenge period, because I've never been very good at LONG-TERM goals, so this will help me a LOT! Looking forward to being 60 pounds lighter on or before June 27th, 2021!!! PS, my husband just signed up to only lose 23 pounds and his payout will still be double what he's putting in - not as impressive as the more than TRIPLE I'll be getting for mine! PLUS, I just got $100 for him signing up!!!
