Thanks ladies! The chicken was hiding under the rest as I cooked it separately so I could weigh it out. I don’t recommend nagged soups. If you get them be sure to read the back carefully! This turned out to be noodles and seasonings and I had to add meat and veggies myself. Turned a $3 bag of soup meal into a $8 soup meal in a hurry! And the chili one was the same. Had to add 2# of meat, beans, tomatoes, tomato paste etc in it as all it was was a few dried beans and 1/2 cup of seasonings. Thankfully we butcher our own meat or that one would’ve been around $22! $30 for a home meal plus a leftover lunch for two of us is a bit steep when you consider that it’s just soup! Tacos are way cheaper. Mmmmm… tacos… 🤤. The kids think I make it a lot because it’s one of our cheaper meals when in reality I’m just addicted to tacos 😆.

crazy, isn't it? and a lot of the mixes are mostly salt with some spices tossed in.

Yes! And then charge $3 for them 🤦‍♀️. The husband likes a bagged chili mix that we haven’t been able to find the last few years. I thought it was bad at $3 but it only does 1#. Thought this other would be better. The family liked it but for the price I will just mix my own spices that I already have. And the chicken noodle soup was light on the noodles, light on salt and overall bland. I have a broth base we love but it is high in sodium so I try to find healthier options that are flavorful. BUT my sodium has been on the low side for labs so may as well get my sodium through that! (One dr said if I didn’t want to salt my food then I should just add a tiny bit to my palm every day and toss it in my mouth like my kids do with garlic salt 😛. I should go buy a salt block for the horses again. Taking a chunk off of there was awesome as a kid! Couldn’t suck on it for more than a minute or two tho!)
