Throwback Thursday times 2. I've shared these before separately but I just wanted to show how different the same body can look at a similar body weight. In the first pic, I had been lifting for about 3 years. Age 23 and 170 pounds vs. 38 years of age and 178 pounds(10/26/2019). Only 8 pounds, which surprised me. Maybe the difference in actual muscle is closer to 10 pounds since maybe I am leaner, but I just thought it was crazy how different I look. I'm hoping that I can get to the same body fat percentage with a couple more pounds of muscle soon.

Thanks, Shirfleur! I was just surprised at how 8 pounds could look like so much muscle. It looks like 8 pounds just in the pecs, let alone how much bigger my back and legs are as well. Maybe I was lighter, but I swore the smallest I ever got to was 163 pounds and that was within the first 6 months of lifting and running. I was sure that I was at least 170 after 3 years of lifting.

170, 178 -- either one looks great. Lower weight overall on you really makes the edges cut through (more so than the 190-200 lb.); could be that your height that factors in to it all (proportion).

For sure JB, I am on my way to getting leaner because I know it always looks better overall. I just posted this cause I know a lot of people are like, how are you this weight when you look so big. Some experts use the phrase, muscle maturity, I think it's a good example of it. Even if I were to get back down to 170, I'd look much bigger than I did in 2004.

You don't still do the Silence of the Lambs "Wild Bill" thing in the mirror when you take these shots anymore, do you? 🤣

Diablo do you have any advice of finding someone to teach what to do to start this path? My body has multiple injuries need someone that can encourage gently, but more need to understand correct body form and ways to adapt (ie my hands can’t lay flat and my right can’t grip).

Quit projecting, Chris, I'm pretty sure you're the one who does that.

I'm lucky, Shrewdness!

Spark, you don't need anything fancy. Bodyweight squats, pushups on knees or off a table until you're strong enough to do knee pushups, planks, machine exercises which don't require a strong grip like machine presses(chest and shoulder presses). You can buy some bands and rest it on your wrist to do curls or other exercises. A personal trainer or youtube videos can help with your form or to even give you other ideas.

Quick reply, thanks. Band would work on my wrists, think I’ll start there.

I was also going to say - he's the lucky one. But actually I'm very lucky to have him and it has nothing to do with his body. That's just icing on the cake. 😉 I thought Chris's comment was funny until I read the "quit projecting". 😂 Then I pictured Chris and it should've been way more difficult than it was. Anyhooo... Looking great, Diablo! 🤸🏋️💪🏼❤️ Sorry I missed your post.
