Nothing much happening over here. All the snow is melted, and it is supposed to get up to 54 degrees today (which is the highest it will be in the 10-day forecast). During that time, the night-time lows will be BELOW freezing every day but one. For those of you who don't know, I live in Virginia.
Still eating whatever I want to, without beating myself up about it. The Franklin Nut Cake will be finished by the end of today. So will a tin of chocolate covered peanuts my husband's aunt gave us a couple of days ago.
We were supposed to go out with friends for a steak dinner tonight (their Christmas gift to us), but today my husband's mother is really sick, and she thinks it might be covid. Since the friends are supposed to leave on a cruise tomorrow, they don't want to take any chances of being exposed, which is completely understandable. Still disappointed, though - we were supposed to go to Texas Roadhouse, which I haven't been to in several years!
My lovely rotating Christmas tree started making an unhealthy sound yesterday. The tree brings me a lot of enjoyment, and it's sad to not be able to have it turned on. I guess it was about time to take it down, anyway. Guess we'll have to buy a new one next year.
I've had a cough and a slightly sore throat for the past five days, but I'm symptom-free today, PTL. Looks like I got through whatever it was unscathed.
