I'm not on IG but I watch a ton of YouTube fitness stuff and it's the same on there. I think the worst thing is trying to compare yourself to alot of these "influencers" so many are either not natural, genetic outliers, or have been training for years and years. for a Newby to compare and expect to look like them is insane but that's what we are being told is what we should expect to be able to look like and makes alot of people dp things they shouldn't to try and get there or give up. I'm just trying to compare myself to myself and doing everything I can to make realistic consistent improvements without falling for all the BS products they are pushing

Love this! Although I don't really browse any social media 'fitness', for that reason, a lot of flakes, LOL.

A lot of Instagram is someone trying to sell something.

Fully support these 3 items. I’m not on the IG, it would be WAY too much social media for me to keep up with. Thanks for sharing. It reinforces my simple philosophy.

I use You Tube videos to follow specific workouts (yoga, free weights, exercise ball, resistance bands). I generally mix it up in order to keep it interesting. I am not interested in looking like the people in the videos, I just use the videos to guide me through the various workouts. Keeps me on track. When the weather and my arthritis permit, I go walking, biking, and trips to an outdoor pool. Overall, I've been able to follow these routines for the better part of two years and I continue to get in some exercises to ward off plantar fasciitis that I got from a podiatrist on a daily basis; I also do a series of exercises to increase hip flexibility.
